The easiest way to do the T28 is to glue the inner tracks to the bottom hull . Then glue the outer tracks to them. Then add the upper hull. Then add the rest of the track. Much easier than the way the instructions show. I used the little blue plastic clamps to hold the tracks tight until the glue dried. Works perfectly.
Thanks the tip.
The items you describe as components for a travel-lock to cradle the gun are actually "winches". They can be mounted at various points on the hull for "track tensioning" as well as adding and removing the outer sets of tracks.
Ah, fascinating. Thank you
11:20 The third barrel with the weight before the muzzlebreak is for the T34 (no hyphen) with a 120mm rifled gun.
They made that?
I build and painted the T-44/T-54-1. They look great.
You've get four side panels for the IS-3. So you can build them with and without side skirts which are part of side panels ... well ... or they are NOt part of the side panels.
I agree the ISU-52 isn't really worth taking and neither is the ISU-122, as the game currently sits. The big issue is that with AT 13/14, you want to be moving to flank enemy tanks (apart from things like Comets and Shermans etc) but with the moving ROF of 1 and the slow firing rule, they are poor for moving and shooting. The ISU-130 is the only ISU worth taking, as far as I'm concerned, long range and concealment might help it survive and AT-18 gives it a chance of penetrating just about everything frontally, apart from the Maus and Tortoise. It's the highest AT in the Soviet force so far. I would suggest the best way to do a Soviet force with what's available, would be to buy 2 boxes of the starter set, to get a decent amount of IS-3's and T-54's. With the T-29/30, I had a couple of T-29's from World of Tanks, so I built the 3 in this box as T-30's
I did the counter the wrong way. The clips do unlock if you pry the right way
Good to know.
I wonder who here would have existing units they could repurpose for this game...
I have a late war american force for FOW so Pershings and hellcats to add to the CoS games.
Definitely worth doing.
I was surprised, in my American vs. Soviet starter set, it came with 2 copies of the cardboard tokens, and even enough of the pegs to put both token sets together. Was this a mistake I just got lucky with or does each set come with two sets of the objective tokens, etc?
I have heard that some sets did have double of the card packs. Bonus.
Mine also had 2 sets of the cardboard, but only 1 set of the pegs.
Sounds like you got lucky.
