Okay, i went to UCSB and inwalked on the terraces. What i would like to see is sn investigation of the western slopes of leach lake mountain in the mendocino national forest, in thhe watershed of the midde fork of the middle eel river. There are two topgrapic oddities: steel bench and devils den. Both look like massive landscapes and floods. But the slopes above are forsted and dont show massive gullies. Across the river is a new lanslide above howard lake. The slopes are steep but densely forested. Please Google map it and see if looks interesting to you.
