Sir Simon, I am an Iranian and I think you have definitely misunderstood this, thinking that Iranians did not want a revolution 10 years ago. Iranians have always wanted fundamental (revolutionary) change, but due to their conservative nature, they tried to achieve the desired result through simpler and less expensive ways first. This characteristic distinguishes Iranians from Arabs and many other nations who make rapid and violent changes. But over time, as the government in Iran has become more violent, the people have become more radical and determined to make fundamental changes. The future of this government is either collapse or a fundamental change, and this fundamental change will not be unlike collapse, because the similarity between the government and its people has decreased greatly and the commonalities between the people and their government have decreased to a minimum, and on the other hand, the economic situation in Iran is extremely unstable and uncontrollable. In fact, today the government and its supporters are in a very small minority, but they still resist fiercely because they have oil money and the money that Biden has been constantly injecting into them, and because they have weapons and 72 television and radio outlets.

The Leopards in Ukraine soon changed their spots. Touted as a game-changing western wunder-waffen that was going to crush the Russians it turns out the Leopard, like the Abrams and Challenger, were easy prey for the drones. Years later and several more game-changing western wonder weapons later Russia is advancing everywhere.
Really?? ...make a deal....that's bs
What must fall must first Rise..... God is above All powers and Principalities...
"Discombobulating" ...? Such a misused word...
Not sure how Sir Gass has concluded that Iranians do not want another revolution correcting the 1979 disastrous regime change? 45 years has past and the new generation is hungry for a fresh revolution and return to the Monarchy.
It's all about Control.
Iran has been destabilising the middle east since 1979, the crown prince will return and make Persia great again and the Lion and Sun Flag will fly once more..
Europe can be thankful that the Russian military has be substantially reduced in Ukraine..
Times Radio, why do you have people visible in the background moving around when the interview is being conducted?
Because this is essentially a podcast and not a TV production. You can listen via any number of podcast platforms. The fact you can watch the interviews on TH-cam is just a bonus
If Putin is gone, his replacement may be worse. There are a lot of nut jobs over there that could be much worse. 😵💫
So what happens next?
What planet this guy living ? Iran will have an other ally by a Syrian Islamic State.
Enjoying this reporting!
O your are mistaken. Iranian want a regime change not a “progressive change” of the same regime.
None will succeed if they race against time.
It is very disappointing from ex ambassador, and he is fully aware of Qassem Soleimani's crimes all over the Middle East, specifically in Syrian against the people of Syrian, then called him general .
Seems like too much conjecture to me.
I find it hard to believe that ‘Iran is terrified’
Maybe they're not, but a change is a coming for them...
Austria has stopped paying Russia for pipeline gas. The belts are tightening in Russia.
he forgot to mention the other Iranian proxy, Hamas
Hamas is a creation of Israel. Do some real research. This is well known.
No no sir ,most people they wants regime change don't talkes of behafe Iranian people
Did Assad stay and fight or did he run away to hide under someone’s skirt?………..hahaha the world already knew what he would do……..hahaha
You are welcome to share your opinion, but the reality is that Iran no longer relies on external forces like Assad. Iran has grown strong enough to defend itself independently, and no one can stand in its way.Iranian women may wear the hijab, but they are highly respected within Persian culture, often in ways that surpass even European standards. Iranian men deeply value and protect their wives, ensuring they are always cared for. Family comes first for most Persian men, and they prioritize their loved ones' well-being in every situation.
The terror is INTERNAL revolution.
Everybody knows the Persians are a sophisticated people. The people that govern you however are incompetent zealots.
Israel's four-hour operation inside Iran exposed the vulnerability of Iran’s air-defense systems, a critical success. If they were able to defend themeselves so successfully, why did they dump Hezbollah as Israel was eviscerating it. Run from Syria?
I,m assuming you dont live there OR are a woman ,,,hundreds of people were killed by security forces right across Iran about the brutality of the regime against women ,,If women are so respected why do your security forces enprision and beat these women?
@@marcperrett662 Particularly in relation to some comments made that seem irrelevant to the issue at hand. Whether I am a woman or not, or where I live, should not affect the nature of our professional communication. For your information, in Iranian culture, women hold a very high level of respect. In fact, the word "Iran" itself is deeply connected to the reverence of women, and our culture places great importance on the role of mothers. No one allows women to carry heavy items or engage in difficult labor; they are deeply cherished and respected.
Iran asked for this...didn't they?
THe ayatollahs are now trembling in fear
Iran is still living I the fifteenth century.
The modern iranian people don't want yet another regime like the Ayatollahs but as people from inside indicated they want HRH Reza Pahalvi to lead them into democratic future
What do you expect with Rolf Harris in charge
Most Iranian citizens don't want the extreme right wing government which is in power at the moment. They have been forced into social submission by a dictatorial religious regime.
It looks like Iran is next😂😂😂
This guy totally underestimates the resolve of the people the regime may have the weapons but the people have the numbers and will only put up with being kicked around for so long especially when they sense that their oppressors are in a weakened state. the sharks will eventually smell blood in the water and then the hunters become the prey!
Now our lame duck Foreign Secretary wants to give Syria £50 million of taxpayers money.
what about Iranian people? don't they deserve the freedom we all should stand for..don't be shy and let them into your discussions
- Freedom is something you have to win and then protect......it usually costs lives.......
@@panchopuskas1Iranian paid with their lives, and still paying. Read the news The brutal regime of Iran executed so many young’s men and women just for speaking of freedom.
Where will the Ayatollahs go when Iran’s people rise up ?
They made deals with Venezuela in 2022. 1. the leaders will go there.
Disneyland ?
Yes, the "Tragic Kingdom".
