Even if he got control of the team in the spring what would have he changed? I don’t believe they would be that different because he still would have kept the team the same as everyone was high on the Sens during the offseason.
To the title of the relevant episode, there’s no doubt no shortage of things wrong with these Sens, with defense, goaltending and special teams for starters.
I say trade branstrom and bring up Clevin , he big ,strong, likes to hit and he can outlet the puck well. It’s not gonna fix the team but it’s a step in the right direction. Also we need to cut lose one our of current goalies and bring up Sog or Mando, I personally like Mando.
What's wrong besides allowing the former GM to make 3 all or nothing roster moves in six years and burning half of their 1st round draft picks? The team is a mess, has spent to the cap and have little to show in development. Why anyone thought Ottawa was going to be good the last year or two is beyond me.
I didn’t think the Canucks would be so good this season but they surprised me with a first place finish in the Pacific Division. The Sens by contrast this off-season still have a severely flawed roster that doesn’t appear much different than last winter. Next season a finish above 4th in the Atlantic looks like a pipe dream boring significant changes to that roster.
We are more then just a farm team... What we need is 2 stay at home defenseman who can lock down the right side. Trade Chabot and move Sanderson forward.
Did anyone suggest Dorion was making mistakes?? It's comical once a guy is gone, the pubdits then find the courage to be critical. This Team was in the top 10 for goals scored and in the 10 worst for gald against. They had the worst numbers on the PP and not good on the PK. The D is not tough enough and a couple aren't good enough. Some on the 3rd and 4th line aren't NHLers and the goaltending is awful. I think getting Martin and putging AlFredo behind the bench was lazy and stupid. Under their leadership, the team is 3 and 7!!!! Anyone with half a brain can coach a defencive style! The notion of team identity is horse sh%t. Younarecwhat you are and that's your identity...period. If the team is fast and skilled...that's their identity. Who are the "cheaters"? I wouldn"t move one of the skilled kids at all...Tarasenko, Kubalik, Brannstrom AND Chabot should be moved. The Owner and Staos should hire a grat coach and in my opinion Gerrard Gallant should be that man. Get AlFredo out from behind the bench for God sakes and let him shake hands and kiss babies. DON'T TRADE THE FUTURE AWAY FOR SHORT TERM GAIN! Anyone who suggests that is a fool.
I just did a quick check on some numbers. Over the last 5 games alone, the top 7 in scoring are collectively -28. That's only the last 5 games, what's the number over the last 10? What exactly, are Jacques and AlFredo doing? The production is way down and the best aren't playing the same. Will the local media (all agents for the Sens) ask that question? York says all the top scorers were cheating...that might sound cute but it's bullsh%t. Tired dumbass expressions like IDENTITY gets spewed out and it too is spite. Most teams have have different "identities" across the lines!!! Is Marners line like Toronto's 4th...particularly, when Reeves is in the lineup? The only "identity" I want is say we play hard every game and leave it all on the ice...period. This game is NOT complicated...but some make it out to be. I want the horses to run; ANYONE CAN LEARN DEFENCE! Puck possession is the best defence. Don't confusee holes in the lineup and weak goaltending with technical flaws. This is tge freshest sport and it's all about speed and willingness to pay the price. Speed never goes into a slump. What is Jacques and Alfred's game plan? Can anyone articulate what it is? We have some great young players and dumbest thing to do is move one out to "deliver a message"...Good God, how moronic.

They have Norris and Stutzle. They are the experienced centers. Then they have Pinto and Grieg as the 3rd and 4th line centers.
