+WizardWolves no... XD but that would be surreal. I've always loved Tornadoes and always wanted to see one up close. I realize they they have insane destructive power too though...
Southern Backtones' songs are great to listen to during thunderstorms that spawn tornadoes left and right. Turns out, they're also great when you're prepping for a hurricane. Bring it, Dorian! #lovefromNC
I work in a hardware store in central FL, it was a madhouse in here lol, we were selling out on propane and gas tanks and hurricane shutters and flashlights etc, and then the hurricane stopped at our front door and went up lol.
I actually came from the opposite direction. Loved the Backtones then found out Hank is now a chaser, animal lover, and an intelligent and funny guy. This tune has modal changes. They even went Phrygian! That bass line in the breakdown and re-visited at the end is sheer brilliance and the tone is (censored) incredible. I can totally see Michael Madsen and Danny Trejo walking down some dusty road with shotguns slung over their shoulders in some QT film during that breakdown.
Love Pecos' stormchasing videos obviously but anyone just kinda end up really digging Southern Backtones in general? Like why don't hey have more views???
obviously, i love the bit at around 1:50 but what gets me the most is the part from around 3:00 onward, i feel like we don't hear it enough in Hank's videos!!
This is just so, SO good. It builds like proper and learned carpentry or an orgasm that few folks ever get to enjoy... This is a desert blossom years of drought in the making. KUDOS, local kid, do PLEASE keep it up!!
I love that middle section half time kinda feel. I expect Danny Trejo and Quentin Tarantino to magically appear at once and get wasted by Clint Eastwood and Harvey Keitel! Wild west tombstone style gunfighting. Much love and respect Hank!
I love you for your cadence and sense of humor and not being annoyingly self-involved. At all. The way you involve this song as a "theme" in your work, like, thematically or something. Anywho... This is the kind of song that I would encourage a small marching band to perform. I mean, probably not Tate (are they still good?) but, anyway...
I would rate this song an EF5
Same
😂 I came for hank aswell
Same
It did *that* much damage? Are you sure it wasn't your "Marty McFly goes Flyin'" amp that did the deed?
No, i would rate it about an EF10.
How many of you guys came from Pecos Hank?
I did
Same
Beep beep lettuce
me three
busted...
This goes on my storm chasing play list.
Tracey Snyder this should be on a playlist period!! I just had a Pecos Hank vid come up on feed, and it made me remember this song.
@@BRO77TX Pecos Hank made this song. Think about that.
same
Watching this while a tornado forms over my head
really?
+WizardWolves no... XD but that would be surreal. I've always loved Tornadoes and always wanted to see one up close. I realize they they have insane destructive power too though...
So do I, and I'm a huge meteorology freak and I love weather. And yea they do I saw one rip a roof off once on a video
@@wizardwolves7572 since posting this comment, I did get to see a tornado form and dissipate about a year ago over central Florida.
@@SangheiliSpecOp niiiiiiiiiiice. I haven't gotten to see one yet, but I have seen several dust devils. I do live in a desert...
Good music Hank.
I agree!
Darn... tornadoes!...... tornadoes all around me!
Good music.
lol
Another fellow railfanner? Another one who also likes Pecos Hank? I'M ON A STREAK TODAY!
@@seaboardspastic wait what?
@@seaboardspastic i think railfanners like pecos and southern backtones'
jpsholland boxed in like a turtles pecker!
Pecos Hank sent me..
Pecos Hank sent you to Pecos Hank ;)
1:55
This song is sick! Storm chaser AND a talented musician? Pretty sweet dude!
AND he helps critters across the road so they don't get smashed.
The haunting bridge starting at 1:54 is absolutely beautiful. That bass track absolutely nails it to provide an uneasy tension. I love this song.
Reminds me of lightning
This part of the song automatically plays on my mind when theres a strong thunderstorm in our area
2:40 no baaaa sound
Great music...should be in a Quinton Tarantino movie.
+Boulderpits It reminds me of Pulp Fiction :) or Desperado
Needs an exotic dancer and a big @$$ snake.
@Thrashman right on man
definitely
If I stare into a cloud formation and hear the guitar riff at 2:10 I’m just dippin. I’m not tryna be in that part of the video 😭
1:54 sounds like a siren's call to a storm chaser. The tornado, extremely dangerous, and yet completely irresistible. Beautiful work, Hank!
Perfectly captured this part of the song. Well done
Listening to this for good luck on tonight's storm chase
A storm chasing furry? okay then...I like it!
I didn’t realize it was HIS band the whole time. It suits his channel so well, that eerie riff as lightning flashes and tornadoes spin overhead.
1:54 personally my favorite part
Plays when he finds a huge or destructive tornado
Or in the beginning of his vids
@@jeviltheotherdevil3027 yep
Flashing lightning too
personally *everyone's favorite part
The perfect song for marauding thunderstorms.
1:54 for all pecos hank viewers
Good sound. Will play while storm hunting this spring as rain dance to make monster mesos...

You good? It sounds like the Carolina’s got hammered again
@@13_cmi yeah. Nothing but some wind and a little rain where I'm at, it did take out some trees here and there though.
Heard it once a week ago. Came back because it was echoing in my head 😍
I heard it at the end of a Pecos hank tornado video last week and hunted it down, bonus Hank was the musician too, along with his bandmates 👍
SOUNDS LIKE 60'S SUFING MUSIC HAWAIIAN EYE
It does
It would be sick in a surf edit
It does kind of sound like that, but also has a Rockabilly sound to it as well.
Listening to this while the April 26th tornados in Iowa, really scary shit
if you ever are feelin sad just listen to this pecos hank has always got our backs!
Who came here from Pecos Hank?
Honestly me lol
Me
Me
Me lol

This retired 1st grade teacher thinks Hank's VooDoo Rock & Roll is rather groovy. And his tornado coverage is T.H.E. B.E.S.T. E.V.E.R.
This track is absolutely great, really gets that nostalgia flowin' in. It usually starts playing in my head when I hop on my bike and go cyclin'.
Amazing song ! I would love this on my videos
Interesting he uses different segments of this song in many of his videos

Got you on my Pandora! This guy needs way more Subs!
He cleverly uses different parts of his songs for different reasons like this on is in the outro and an intro to some
I came here from hank’s channel but this is so much better than I had expected
'til next time friends, happy travels
That bass riff at the end!! 👍
2:10 fantastic for lightning montages till 2:40
this is fantastic, surf / pulp fiction / tornadoes
I wish words could express how much this song touches my soul.
I find it incredible that this has only 2,961 views. I'm gonna buy it from iTunes right fucking now, baby 😎
How could anyone dislike this? This is straight up storm chasing fire right here!
This man is not a storm chaser. He is the entire subject of tornado releated culture.
Love your music! Thank you for making it free for us!
I’m sure everyone here is coming form Pecos Hank. This is the best song for tornado highlight videos.
Pecos Hank the legend
1:54 imagine a storm chaser using this for his tornadoes of the year intro just imagine that, imagine
Love this song. Makes me think of cool and spooky storms everytime I listen.
2:40 is that one moment when the intro ends
I can't not focus on the bass whenever I listen to this, it's great!
I have finally found it after years of not knowing what it was called
I remember being 14 finding this song, still hits as hard 10 years later
I'm so fascinated that so many people have associated this song with storms like I have, in spite of it mentioning nothing about it in the title
1:54 sounds like lightning to me
Hank uses it in his tornado vids
Listening to it with a thunderstorm background sound
Love Pecos' stormchasing videos obviously but anyone just kinda end up really digging Southern Backtones in general? Like why don't hey have more views???
Southern backtones is hank's band
What's this relationship between This band/musician and Pecos Hank
Hank is the guitarist and singer
thank you for making this song exist
Bro this song touches down real hard!
Yeah this song touches me doesn’t there too!
awww Hell, love this
“A small tomato looms over an open field, terrorizing tumbleweeds”
“Hopefully, we’ll catch a photogenic burrito”
-Pecos Hank Subtitles
Listening to this while watching local news coverage of a tornadic storm in southwest Oklahoma, wondering if Hank's on that storm.
1:53 the famous part
1:54
Hank is a man of many talents

1:54 pure gold
Thanks, Pecos Hank! Brought me to this excellent band

If tornadoes had a theme song it is this masterpiece!
This is my favorite song.
Wicked love it great stuff .
Reminds me of DUSK TILL DAWN .
Anytime I hear this I’m imagining a tornado video along with it.
Excellent!

when this song comes on you know stuff is about to get real
EF6 confirmed?!?
Pecos Hank Uses This.
I Love It
I find it a bit silly that a ton of people who come to this channel don't know that Southern Backtones is Hanks band.
Listening to the music that Pecos Hank plays during a thunderstorm hits different not gonna lie
A masterpiece.
This is just so, SO good. It builds like proper and learned carpentry or an orgasm that few folks ever get to enjoy... This is a desert blossom years of drought in the making. KUDOS, local kid, do PLEASE keep it up!!

Hi there. Great sound. What are the genres involved? Pulp + Surf + Rock + ?. Thanks in advance for any answer. Cheers.
