    Just got mine 2 days ago. Traded in my 2013 Sportage SX for the Santa Fe Sport 2.0T, with no Nav or Sunroof, but it was worth it for a smoother ride, more space, and less road noise. Thought I could get used to the ride and noise of the Sportage, but I just couldn't. So far, I'm loving it!

      Do you still have the Santa Fe ? How's it holding up or did you have any issues (likes/dislikes) ?

      I do still have it and still love it. No issues so far. Just taking it in for all my routine maintenance. Thanks for asking :)

    Very elegant and modern design by the Hyundai Motor Company. Definitely the best looking SUV in the North American market.
    The 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe is America's best designed and most reliable SUV of 2014. Powered by new cutting-edge Hyundai AWD technology, this is Korean manufacturing specialty at its best.
    Hyundai technology is 100% Korean technology so you can expect the newest and most advanced auto technology because Korean technology companies are the most advanced in the world (look at Samsung... the world’s biggest technology company)
    FORZA HYUNDAI MOTORS!

    I enjoy your reviews when it is just you and not the other gentlemen. I like polish and good presentation when viewing auto video reviews. Thank you Dave. Keep up the good work! And a side line comment perhaps if you moved your home base to here in Palm Springs, California area your weather would be just a little more sunny. With that said I still am very happy to tune in to watch you & the reviews. Great job, keep it up...

    Rear seats slide and recline making back seat even more comfy and adding additional cargo without folding seats!

    The Chrysler T&C we used to own had privacy glass all around the back, and it also had the shades. They really did make a difference if the sun happened to be shining in your window (early morning or late afternoon).

    No guys, I had not noticed the Superman in the video shoot, that's great! Thanks Dave, it's great that you have a good since of humor as well as being a good reporter and great on camera! To funny...

    Have you been on the new santa fe?? It comes fully loaded and with premium materials, in my family there have been 2 Hyundai's, both with over 100k and no problems.
    I think Hyundai has come such a long way, for me its better than most japanise brands right now.

    Good video! I think CUV is over looked too often because people are skeptical about Hyundai. I've ridden in/driven one of these and was pleasantly surprised by the build quality and options. The seats are great! Seems like the tester I drove had a power lift gate.

    I love the Santa Fe Sport. Definitely a looker, especially in the evening with the awesome headlight and fog light combo. Very competitive for this segment, and I bet it's already selling well, as I've seen quite a few on the road already. Once again, love the review, and lots of awesome leg shots Dave! Sad you won't be wearing shorts with the Altima's review, but I guess it'll leave me more focused on the car itself, instead of you! ;)

    Two things,
    1) Great reviews, you and your partner (who is sometimes absent from the reviews) do great.
    2) You've got some great looking calves man.

    Great review. I was waiting to check out your final verdict on it to either buy, lease for X amount of time at the end of the review. I wonder what would that be for you after testing it?
    Keep uo the good job.

  • @marinoint
    @marinoint 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Excellent review; covered just about everything in detail, clear video, no annoyingly loud music, and unlike most other auto reviews - you show the rear leg room properly! This is one of the most important points of a non-sports car, yet most reviewers are simply too lazy to demonstrate.
    Thank you for the effort, please keep these videos coming.

    Sure, you can wait 5 years if you want, but their prices may go even higher. Right now the Hyundais/Kias are very reliable according to many studies like Consumer Reports, Edmunds and also JD Power and with the 10yr/100k mile powertrain warranty makes it even more appealing. They also don't depreciate as much as they used to. I can almost guarantee you that many Japanese/American cars are going to offer the same 10yr/100k warranty so they can compete against them, and that is good for all of us.

    I have owned two hyundais .. My first a 2004 sonata v6 and I had it up until dec 2012 with no problems at all... It had 150,000 miles on it and I drive hard. Have a 2006 Tucson with almost 100,000 on it and it still drives like new. So I don't see where all the Hyundai hate/ skeptical points of view come from.... Just saying

    I'm in between CX-5 GT & Sante Fe Sport 2,0T; how about a head 2 head video? Thank you for your videos. I'm walking into the dealership sometimes more educated than the sales person. Hope to make a purchase soon.

  • @kelleredison
    @kelleredison 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I wonder, have you ever driven a Hyundai or Kia for a long period? I have owned a 2000 Hyundai Sonata Ltd, and I just bought a new, top of the line Hyundai Sonata Ltd., Great cars, solid and well built. We also have a Audi convertible and frankly it has had more problems then our Sonata's? Anyway, to each his own. I always enjoy hearing other peoples opinions, thank you sharing yours.

    i dont get why they advertise turbo engines saying it gets better mpgs compared to a NA engine. i mean if you are making the same or even more HP than a V6, doesnt that mean the same amount of fuel is burned, maybe even more because theres more air now?
    i really like the Azera. i think its the perfect balance. the Genesis and Equus are overkill. the Accent and Elantra is underkill(if thats even a word lol).
    Great video!

    All good, but how fast does it go? Car and Driver lists 0-60 for the base 2.4L at 8.6 seconds, and 1/4 mile at 16.6 seconds. How much of an improvement is the turbo? Dave, it would be great if you had a G-Tech or other testing product to measure vehicle performance.

    @gidzillasballs a Tahoe and Expedition get terrible gas mileage compared to the Santa Fe. Plus they're more unreliable. Hyundai used to be a crappy company but now they're to be taken seriously. Much much better quality and reliability than before. Which is why so many people are buying them now

    i do not understand why the sunshade is needed if "privacy glass" is installed. a poor gimmick or useful feature? and for $35k you can get a real American SUV like the Tahoe, Explorer or Durango; which, are more people friendly and get the same or better gas mileage with the capability to two stuff - Hyundai used to be the tin can of the Automotive industry; since when has Hyundai become a premium brand with premium prices? clever marketing, yes; good value, no longer
