Keel is an American heavy metal band founded in 1984 in Los Angeles, California. They are known for their rock anthem "The Right to Rock." The band was active until 1989, with a brief reunion in 1998. Keel reunited again in 2008 and toured in 2009 for their 25th anniversary.

Crazy Ron Keel, goes from signing in Black Sabbath, to Steeler with Yngwie, to this, now he is a country singing cowboy.
Ron Keel had a few great years there where his voice was really unique.
I saw Keel on this tour. It was Keel and Loudness. Being an old guy I saw all the cool shows😎
Keel released a total of 7 albums, the last, Streets of Rock and Roll in 2010ish. Keel still plays on occasion, but Ron's focus is The Ron Keel Band, which has released two albums so far.
Fun story - My friends and I went to the Hard Rock Cafe in New York after the Bon Jovi show. Well we were hanging around by the stairs that led down to the bathrooms. There was a payphone there! Anyway, I don't remember if he made a call or not but I noticed the drummer whose name which I think was Dwayne. I started singing, You got it, the right to rock. The drummer was air drumming and ba chica ba ba to the song. Saw him a year or two ago and he had no recollection.
Every Time I Die - It Remembers
Ron Keel just released a southern rock cover album you should check it out . They cover a lot of cool tunes.
Really like this! Totally my kind of band. Maybe they weren’t the best, but they sure gave it a helluva try!
A Bit back you did a reaction to Michael Sweet doing song "Radio" Ron Keel is what the song was about. Look up when he became a Country singer if you want a Good Laugh. Not a bad song.
You should play some current Keel, Fight Like a Band - Ron Keel Band

Was a casting director and/or writer for The Umbrella Academy a Keel fan and was this video an inspiration for Hazel??? I wonder where that kid is now! Keel was always on my B List...didn't love them but didn't hate them, and I thought Marc Ferrari was kind of cute. I used to call Ron "Pocket Fisherman" because his name sounded too much like Ron Popeil (even though it's a syllable short). And there's a street in the neighborhood where I work named Red Keel...no Street, Court, Road, Avenue, nothing - just Red Keel...of course it's always been nothing but Ron Keel to me! I only saw them once, opening for Bon Jovi on the Slippery When Wet tour in 1987 - they closed with this song if I remember correctly. Ron did foray into country music and he is also a vocal coach - check him out in the documentary Hair I Go Again...it is a very interesting and entertaining watch if you have not already seen it)....
Marc Ferrari is a douche.
Keel is my favorite band. They are the poor man's Kiss. Best album would be The Final Frontier....best song Evil Wicked Nean and Nasty off of Larger Than Live. Saw them live in 86 and I had the time of my life. I have seen Motley Crue live as well as bands like Warrant, Cinderella, Slaughter, Stryper, WASP, Tesla, Scorpions and Kiss. Keel was better than them all!!!!
rock on Rawn!
When i saw the thumbnail...i thought Miss Althea...then when it started i thought...maybe not...

Had both Keel records. Good songs. But he was not a good singer. His cover of Because the Night was about as good as they got. Originally bought because Gene Simmons was involved.
Goofy song then......still goofy now. Ron Keel was good in Steeler, but got way to poseur on his own.
