Being raised in the south my grandmother taught me it was not polite to sit at the dinner table with my hat on. In fact if I forgot she swatted it off my head before grace was said and we ate. I noticed your husband had his hat on in the beginning of the video and it brought back memories of grandma. Love your videos and especially your honest when talking about god, guns or country. I also use the aluminum pans. I cover a cookie sheet with foil.. then place the cobbler pan in it. If you have run over the sheet catches it. And those pans can fold up on you and make a mess or burn you. Great video 👍

The butter is actually better for you if you use it while it's separated, the fat & milk solids is what's sitting at the bottom & the top is pure butter. Really great tasting & best when used for cooking & baking. Try it sometime. you've given me so much info & great recipes, thought I'd return the favor...

Understand that counting apple doesn't always work, I have my own apple and prefect apples are a challenge and I don't overdose the poisoning of any food sources, Yet by controlling pest my apple are near perfect for my needs and mine don't have the supermarket greasy oils that I know isn't normal.
The video is very informative and beautiful demonstrates the DIY of this treat.

Looks delish, I am going to join a good friend of mine and her family for church this Easter and then we will go to her home for dinner. This looks so good I plan on bringing it. I am also bringing lemon pies so naturally I am going to try out your pie crust recipe. I am probably going to give your stuffed peppers a try as well. She is making lasagna and ham, I planned on doing some pork ribs but the stuffed peppers looked so good, I will probably make those instead. I would love to know what type of apple you used. Many blessings and a big thank you for sharing your fabulous recipes with us.

+Cynthia B I hope your Easter dinner was as delicious as it sounds. Sorry I have taken so long to answer. We had a storm Thursday night which knocked my internet out for 2 days and then I had to go watch Charlotte hunt eggs :) I used apples off a tree in my yard. I have no idea what kind they are. The year we built our house I got 10 little trees from Arbor Day for $10. It was supposed to be a crab apple but it has red apples and when we have a good season they get bigger than grapefruits, so all I know is they aren't crab apples. I love that pie crust recipe. It is super easy and always comes out good. Thank You and God Bless You! Happy Easter!

I meant to add that.. when you mentioned tasting the food... I wished you had torn open one of your biscuits when you did that video. I tried for several months to make biscuits that were of my childhood memories (not your recipe, mind you, as I have only recently found your channel).. your recipe looked right and you spoke of layers.. and I really wanted you to open that biscuit to show me that the way you did it actually made layers. I have been searching for a perfect biscuit recipe for a couple of years. Anyway.. the not tasting is not a big thing to me 'cause I reckon no one is going to say 'eew, that was gross '. LOL Thanks for everyone's hard work. I love your videos!

+Katerina Kiaha Thanks we appreciate the support and encouragement!!! It may take a few attempts to get layers in your biscuits. It is something that you have to feel. What gives you the layers is folding the dough in the flour. If you want more pronounced layers roll or mash your dough out thin, sprinkle a little flour on the top, then fold it several times to get it back to where it is a little thicker than what you want to make your biscuits, just press it lightly and cut your biscuits. If you want lots of layers put your biscuits about 1/2 inch apart in the pan, this will give them room to rise but will keep them from falling over.

    Yum delish! Very NICE!
You mentioned the apples turning brown. I recall in my youth that they would turn brown rather quickly. Last Christmas I was given an apple and the strangest thing.. I let it sit out for 2 days (cut) and it barely turned brown at all. It kind of freaked me out. Glad you have your own apple tree(s). I recall eating crab apples as a young'un.. lol way back memories.
Anyways, I hope Ann enjoyed that yummy cobbler. 2 nights ago I had a dream and a female told me.. "Call, Ann". I said "I don't know her number". So, I reckon the number is 75 and Happy Birthday, Ann!

+Katerina Kiaha There are so many chemicals on our food now, even organic apples are sprayed with antibiotics. I wish I had the room, time and energy to grow everything we eat. The tree I got those apples off of was supposed to be a crab apple tree. I ordered 2 from the Arbor Day place when we built our house. One has delicious yellow apples and this one gets a tart red apple that gets so big you can barely hold them in one hand. I am pretty sure they are not crab apples, at least they aren't the crab apples that gave me a belly ache when I was a kid :)
Analyze that dream Freud :) She did enjoy it . For years she has gotten irritated at me because she will ask for recipes and I don't measure hardly anything if I not making a video, so I would just give her a list of ingredients. So she asked for the recipe and I told her it would be on TH-cam in a couple of days with measurements :)

Katerina Kiaha Some of them would get a little red, but they were small and sour. I can't believe that our food supply has gotten so toxic.
I lost my granny when I was 12 but some of my fondest memories are with her in the garden and kitchen. She always let me help. She is probable the one person who had the greatest impact on the adult I became. I wish she had been in my life longer.

that we will rebound from Monsanto. I did not originally see your entire comment.
I wish to say that I appreciate your granny cause.. I get to learn from you and that makes me very happy. I thank you and all of your ancestors!

+Katerina Kiaha I am still hoping we will ban GMO's like most of Europe has which would put a dent in Monsanto, but I am a dreamer :)
Thank you! That is really sweet and encouraging! You made me smile :))
