Grew up in Camberley, where the members came from, and Woking, (the Jam) was just up the road. Don't know why London got all the attention, when Surrey was obviously the place to be a teenager in the late 70's
Every lousy Monday morning Heathrow jets go crashing over our home Ten o'clock Broadmoor siren Driving me mad, won't leave me alone I grew up in Yateley and remember that siren well.
may 29th 1979 the peak of disco, the video quality is outstanding here not sure why we never heard this in the usa considering pink floyd was like smog you could not escape.
never heard of this band until about 2003 yet everyone heard of the clash by late 1979 but nick tesco is a far better frontman than mick jones or anyone in the clash who were overpromoted.
1970s punk was dismissed in the usa but they had some really good musicians and singers ...when this song was out ted nugent was at the height of his fame look yet how nasty he looked and sounded but the members sound good and even sport some cool glam like bowie.
there's no information of nick tescos personal life or family or significant others. no one is putting out information on the life he lived the past 45-50 years.
One of the best live bands I have ever seen....
The best 9 minutes you will spend today.
Agree, good performance.
Brilliant band saw them twice in 1979

Camberley, Woking, Guildford (Stranglers and the Vapors). Golden triangle. :o)
