his opponent named seeds is exactly why gunboats sucks in pub mge servers. Just surfing to the skybox the entire time giving that player the ability to beat mike who almost never surfs.
Surfing was never Mike's strength, if you can't surf well in tf2 you are going to struggle at the highest level. Pretty sure seeds is a Prem level player.
good point but I feel like the point of MGE for these top players isn’t necessarily to win but to improve DM and since Gunboats are meta now for both roamed and pocket you want to practice (MGE) the same way, even if running shotgun is “better” in 1v1 it doesn’t matter since they want skills to translate as much to actual games as possible and thus it’s important to practice with the loadout you play with. Same concept behind MGE-ing other classes, it’s not necessarily fair (depending on matchup) but the point is you have to take those fights in a real game either way at some point
@@perdomy ??? Gunboats is a semented meta. The way it was meant to be played is how you want to. However theres just certain ways you should play mge to make it enjoyable for both parties involved
@@notsquish8876 Have you ever seen b4nny lose in mge? Yeah... I mean there are surely players who could give b4nny a good run for his money in mge, but mge mike doesn't seem to be one of them.
@@apxprdtr_mge Of what I have seen he wins against his team members most of the time. He doesn’t go for huge airshots but he is really consistent. Mge Mike isn’t in his prime right now so he would probably loose but if he plays more again I think he has a chance.
@@andyandy2756 are u dumb? when do you see banny play mge other than other invite players or for a quick warmup or time between pugs. mike (in his prime) would just play it all the time for hours
@TriNeh most players look for advantages in their practice sessions to feel better about themselves. Seems as if you are writing from logic but in a not logical world.
@@mostwanted9318999 it’s def possible to get better without specificity in your training but Id bet a huge chunk of practice that Invite/Premier level players participate in is using whatever the meta is, there probably phenoms and/or heavy grinders who don’t follow this philosophy but most top players are up there for a reason and it’s not from clawing for validation from winning an MGE match
25k hours on soldier and still do the same mistakes when aiming over 10 years ago. Most overrated player in tf2 history. (also his overwatch career is a joke) 🤣
Being way worse than you were at best, is extremely frustrating feeling.
For me it is much worse than being bad at something because you're a beginner
Feels like Mike's never let go of his RL even after quitting tf.
why am i getting excited to see this

So strange how he plays like me. I thought he would run shotty.
gunboats is currently pretty meta for both pocket and roamer in 6’s so it makes sense he would practice with gunboats
