I just bought the exact same truck here in Virginia for 41k with all the rebates and whatnot. Tons of dealerships have tons of rebates so don't let the MSRP scare everybody.
I've had 2 company trucks with this engine and when I buy one, it will be the Pentastar 3.6. Get up and go is great in this truck and MPG decent. That and this engine has been around for over a decade.
nice truck i have one in a beefed up trademan with options but has the v6 e torque works just fine has plenty of power for light towing up 6k enough for me .
I have a 2023 1500 Classic quad cab Warlock, power seats, power rear window, 355 gears w limited slip, fogs, tow package, tow hooks and some other options. Mine has the 3.6 non e-torque and its fine for a daily driver truck, i didnt buy it to tow , i think the max is close to 5000, certainly enough for someone doing landscaping. I have the BEDRUG in mine which is so much better than the drop in liner or spray in, BEDRUG is 3/4 inch padded on the bottom. I would get a 2025 Big horn with the 3.0 but i would take a 10-12 grand hit for something less than a year old.
Why would anybody buy that truck with that old technology V6 low power no power V6 why would anybody buy that truck if I was to buy a brand new ram truck it’s going to have the hurricane twin turbo V6

How is the 3.6 L v6? I am going for a 25 and am in between this and the hurricane
Thanks. Looks like crew cab 5.7” bed. Good engine. No complicated turbos. 3.21 diff
Nice job Tony and this truck is my new daily.
RAM sales are down 26% quarter 2. I'd say a good deal is on the table. This review is great, I will say that!

The V6 is actually legit
The most underrated engine on the market
Facts
Should I go for this over the hurricane on a 25 model tradesmen?
@ if you value reliability then absolutely yes.
It’s got more than enough get up and go as well assuming your not towing over 8,000lbs all the time
How reliable are these pentastar v6 engines?
For the future. Thanks for the video.
i got a great price on a 2023 - but coming from a hemi 2014 , not enough power around NWI with traffic ....

The etorque doesn’t give you Extra power when driving. Only when taking off from a stop with your start/stop active
Can you disable start/stop?

Nice truck and engine but not paying 60k for it doesn’t matter what options it has
That price is diabolical
Got cel at 130 miles not even off my free fill up misfire on cylinder 1 dealer is gona have to fix it
It’s 45k truck being sold for 70
These things are finally 10-15k off of list price around me
@jeffsamuelson4396 they are hurting as a whole. Ram sales are down 26% in the 2nd quarter, and jeep is down as well.
70k? LOL. These sell brand new for 43-45k all day.
Is there a dipstick, because I didn’t see it on the video
no dipstick
my new daily driver
Not sure why anyone would get the V6 except in a work truck or tradesman. The Inline 6 is so much better.
Fuel economy. Turboed engines suck gas from the factory, nvm ten years down the road when they’re caked with carbon
15 years out and this engine is time tested and true. Better MPG. If you're not towing, this engine is an excellent choice.
V6
It's a glorified SUV
Why would anybody buy that truck with that old technology V6 low power no power V6 why would anybody buy that truck if I was to buy a brand new ram truck it’s going to have the hurricane twin turbo V6
For reliability reasons. Sometimes less is more. That hurricane has the potential to be nothing but trouble.
A 6 cylinder P.O.💩
I take it you've spent some time with one of these? If not, try one, you may be surprised on how well they drive.
Best engine ever bilt
