Yeah, they have limits to what they allow the horses to do. Horses bite to get people out of their space, not to inflict damage. Simultaneously they do not understand how fragile humans really are. Especially our babies.
I've watched alot of these recently and I have noticed how gentle the horse's are with the children and with special needs adults. Seen that too. People just don't know how to act around horse's especially one's standing guard.

A horse bite is no joke. They can remove a finger. It's a war horse. Do you try to pet the police officer's dog when they are apprehending a criminal? How many of these people have any knowledge of horses, cows, bulls, geese, etc? Pure city? Never rode a horse, fed chickens, milked a cow. There are a few notoriously aggressive horses in the Household Cavalry and this is one of them. They are cavalry horses bred from centuries of warhorse stock. I'm more surprised that so few of them have a reputation for aggressive behaviour considering their breeding and lineage.
Their breeding is Irish draught with some thoroughbred blood , draught horses are working horses with calm temperaments , no " war horses " among them .

Well imagine that. The first victim walked right up to the sign that warns about horse biting, then freaks out because she was too close and got bitten. It's a call button that connects directly to the Guards room not an emergency button , they have cameras for that ! The Trooper pressed it as the tether chain had become unlinked , the chain dates back to campaign days and was used to attach the horses to a line for safety , feeding and watering them when resting .
I loved how the kings guard stopped the horse from going near the baby, but happily sits there, allowing the horse yo nip and bite everyone else 😂😂😂 ❤❤❤❤

My dog was a bit like Arnie and Ormonde, he hated people coming to pat him, or speak to him. He’d growl at them. He’d even boss the dogs in the neighbourhood. Animals behave that way for a reason. They want to be left alone. I’d snap too if people kept coming up to me like that.

I think they need to repost the sign where it reads, “Do Not Touch Horse or Kings Guard. They are not statues.” I don’t understand why people can’t take a photo from far away with the guard and the horse in the background. Why the need to touch the horse and guard, pull on the reins, and invade their personal space? That should be illegal. Enough! People are rude and inconsiderate.

I don’t understand why people can’t take a photo from far away with the guard and the horse in the background. Why the need to touch the horse and guard, pull on the reins, and invade their personal space? That should be illegal. Enough! People are rude and inconsiderate.
Like the way the horse keeps checking left and right to see who is within its reach; occasionally lulling some into a false sense of security before striking.
