I don't understand why people feel they have the right to invade their space. Be respectful and stay back at least by 3 feet either side. Horses can feel threatened if their personal space is violated.

It is getting warmer every day , summer now. In such thick solider uniform, It is really hard time for the horse and the Royal guard . It would be better, to think of to shorter the time of their duty and longer the rest hour.
They are on duty for one hour. The guard is a soldier. He is physically fit and trained to handle much worse situations. The horses are taken in if it gets too hot. Horses and guards have served here for well over 100 years in all kinds of weather.
They are only on duty for an hour at a time.
