There’s absolutely nothing tragic or sad about Martin Landau’s life. He spent his life doing what he loved - acting and teaching acting - to the day he died. The title for this is misleading to say the least.
Yeah…Martin was amazing and had a fantastic career. He is a significant part of the history and lore of American film. We miss you, Martin, but we all love the exemplary work of yours and Barbara’s daughter, Juliet Landau! Buffy Forever! How fitting that Martin played Bela Lugosi right before Juliet became one of the most famous vampires of all time!
He starred in the movie Joseph with Ben Kingsley and Leslie Ann Warren in 1995. The best movie I have ever seen, about 30 times now. RIP Martin Landau.
This is an awful video! To start with, the narration is stilted - almost machine-like and delivered in a monotone. And I doubt very much that Martin Landau would have thought he had a "tragic" life, and neither would his family, friends and legions of fans. He and Barbara Bain were married and starred in both Mission: Impossible and Space: 1999 together as well as a few other projects, including a pilot for a series called "Savage", which sadly didn't get picked up. He and Barbara Bain (still active in Hollywood at the age of 90) remained on friendly terms after their divorce and their two daughters are successful in their own right - Susan is a writer/director and Juliet is an actress (in the UK probably best known as Drusilla in "Angel"). His death was sad, as is any death, but at the age of 89 when he was still actively working it wasn't really tragic ... and the title of this video is likely to lead people to think he had a terrible life, which if you watch interviews with the gentleman himself, was very far from the truth.
I don’t even watch these purely based on the bait title”sad life of Martin Landau” . My comment means nothing but from afar Mr Landau lived long and great life. RIP Rollin Hand
@@Garrysullivanjones You're absolutely right - I'm sure he had no complaints about his life! I'm currently watching Space: 1999 where he's portraying the wonderful Commander Koenig, though I loved him as Rollin Hand too.
Santos! is that really you? I knew you invented TH-cam, but I never imagined you would post comments using your "Real" name! P. S. I'm having a hard time finding your Mother's name on the 9/11 Memorial, perhaps we could leave some roses together.
