I own a 2011 Vento TDI Highline and have used it for 180000kms.. i have faced all of the issues mentioned in the video and some more including injectors going bad to need replacement.. but the car is great to drive
But if you consider the price difference of a New city and New Vento. The vento is priced less than the city so even though you end up spending some more money on service you get better value if you buy the vento. Mostly people don't understand this and also the service is only once per year on the vento vs 2 service per year for other competitors.
Hi Motorbeam. I own a Volkswagen Vento 2011 Model. Its a petrol Highline model. I understand the resale value part. But let me shower some light on the Car and its quality. The video shows a banged up car probably misused for years together. My car has done 101000 kms approx. Let me tell you. Ive serviced her regularly and kept her maintained enough. Corrections to your verdict. AC vents do not break at all. They feel nice stiff and new like ever before. The AC compressor is working outstandingly well.. (touchwood). The suspension doesnt feel squishy at all. Although my rear shocks do need replacement now.. Thats after 8 years of regular use. Over all its a very fabulous car.. And the repairs are not thats expensive. If you are interested you can do a new review using my car. (free of charge) Or I can send you photos with complete service record so that you guys can change your mind about it. Disclaimer: I dont wish to sell it. You cant generalise verdicts about a used car as its a very ownership dependent thing. In the wrong hands even a rolls will be ruined in a year. Have a nice day🙂

Finally someone with a honest review of the VW VENTO. I've had all the problems that you mentioned and some more as well, having driven the car for about 1,40,000 Kms. But what this car does to you is that it makes you a DIY person. I now do all the regular maintenance like oil and filter changes all by myself and it's a fairly easy job and saves me a lot of money. I think everyone who owns a VAG Car should watch some videos on TH-cam (there's a lot) to know how to do regular maintenance on these cars, it's so easy to do and easy on the pocket as well. With all that said and done, this is easily the most unreliable car I've ever had. But will I buy a VAG car again? Ofcourse yeah, they've spoilt me completely with their engine, gearbox and driving Dynamics!
The problem with VW is that they have build the car based on german roads and now only started to build parts in india itself. That lead to cost cutting in some areas so the parts fail often like suspension. But they can be replaced for cheap if you know what to buy and where to buy them outside of dealership.
Black smoke after 1 lacs??? I also have a vento diesel highline 1.12 lacs completed,no smoke. Ac works fabulous even better then,if we compare with a new Maruti or Hyundai vehicle. One of my friend has sale his vento trendline diesel,that time it was clock around 2.30 lacs not a single problem nor smoke after that he purchase Verna diesel automatic,and he is not happy with that Verna at all,he is very angry with his decision and now again looking to purchase new vento and now looking for a buyer for that 3 months verna,he said his 2.3 lac km vento was better than that new verna.
Very well said. My highline Polo 1.2 Petrol 2011 Feb model has had so many issues. Speed sensor failed(crank shaft sensor) all 4 suspensions gone. Bearing issues in gear box. ABS sensor failed. 3 side Engine mounting gone. One of the injectors failed twice. Fuel economy 7km/ltr city. Parts not available, have to wait for 15 to 20 days. Ac vents break being so fragile. After 4 years battery dead. My car has clocked 64700kms. Clutch has become so hard, that my driver complains each time he drives. Selling this junk now and getting an Hyundai Venue or waiting for Kia Seltos

@@akashmengi4951 I keep the car in pristine conditon. It's just that polo has lot of faulty parts and sensors which go kaput anytime. Just have to keep replacing them. I have owned Maruti Alto, Hyundai Eon, Hyundai i20 elite asta(current) along with polo. Hyundai is far more superior and maintenance free. What I only hate about maruti is the build quality and lack of features, they should come up with new appealing designs. Rest the engine is smooth and silent no matter how many cylinders its has. The vibrations are almost negligible.
Vento Polo if maintained well will last lot many kilometers and life also, paint quality, build quality…no Honda or Hyundai’s can match!!! The service period is 15k kms or 1 years!!! Parts we can get easily via boodmo and now in 2021 Vag service also improved little and friendly on pockets!!!
I have 2011 vento 1.6 mpi and almost 90k on odo now... the funny thing is i have 2017 ciaz in family and it rattles 10 times more than my 2011 vento.... and i never had to visit a service center other than a regular service once a year. That’s it.
2 months back I got 2013 vento diesel High line with running 90,000km for 2.40 lakhs. It's awesome to drive.thank god the car has gone through all the periodic service.🙏

Most of the owners do time to time service till there is warranty n after that they do it in local garage. If there is no service history then stay away coz there is high chance the car has high running and odometer has been changed.
My vw vento's service costed me 7000 for 15000 kms if u know the right mech its easy to maintain. 14000 for 15k kms wher as in any other car about 5000 for 10k which is more if u consider running cost of 30k kms
Hyundai verna, Suzuki Ritz, Nissan Sunny ,Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano, all are available at very reasonable prices in used car market. Please try to make videos on these cars
After 1 lac km showroom service centre gave me a quote around 1.5 lac for entire servicing including suspension work & clutch plate work. Its too much so decided to sell it & will go for nexon or may be verna 1.6D

I own a 2011 TDI Vento still good to drive and if you are planning to purchase it second hand then do thoroughly check the service record and it should from the VW service center and if all records are good then go for it.

Don't wory, I'm driving the 1.6 TDI since 2013 and have not faced any issues mentioned in this video. The Only issue which I faced once was Because of adulterated fuel (one of the injector became faulty), which i got it fixed by my mechanic for 5K, for which VW service center was asking 40K. Also there is no such issue of spare parts unavailability, the are available.

The car in the video itself looks not at all a proper maintained car. I myself have a vento diesel 2011 but it has not given any problems to me ever till date even after doing 1.2lac kms. Just timely service is important and for spare parts its all available in the market for eg. opera house for mumbai at pretty reasonable price even when compred to ford, hyundai or crapy maruti parts which meeds replacement atoeast twice as much as vw cars require for the same time period.

I have a vw vento 2012 model and it has done 1.2 lakh km. Till now once the fan motor was damaged nothing else. Suspension nd other ac repairs can happen in any other car also verna has a very high maintenance also. I preper vw over Hyundai just look at a 2012 verna interior. We should also see the safety nd mileage they provide .
@@harshpatel8715 well for 2012 car with such low mileage, the car was basically sitting. Ask the owner if it was parked in the open or in a garage. Get the body thoroughly checked by the mechanic for any signs of rusting. As the engine is petrol one, there will no problem enjoy your new ride😊

Never suggest to buy a Vento, I had one and right from 2 month i am facing issue with Coil error coming and its delicate baby, the moment it goes into bump, the error comes and my vehicle goes to stand still. not allow to go forward. so not a good decision to buy.
My vento has done 148000 kms. 2014 tdi highline...

Maine b 5 din pehle 2012 model 70000 km chali hui vento 1.6 highline petrol li hai.. 4 din me hi 2 baar iska samne ka bumper khul gaya halki si neeche lagne pe.. bc ₹600/- lag gye.. gadi jabardast hai family k liye. Par gadi down badi hai. Kharab road ho to neeche lagni hi lagni hai ye. Aur fir bharo kharcha

@@AryanSingh2512. listen first of all there are other brands too which are way better than this shitty vw. 2nd its all vw's cars are high on maintainance,lack of spare parts, no new technology whereas if u talk about its engine always making cringy noise and last not the least smoke issue. It do have injector coil problem and ac vents breakdown often. Ciaz is much more advanced in all aspect with hybrid technology now tell me which will you choose advanced or outdated vw.
