Lo mejor que tiene ese reel es el sistema de liberacion extra rapido del carrete media vuelta y listo y ademas la cantidad de centimetros x vuelta extra rapudo
The 5500 CI4+'s are great piking reels, have them on my (sadly now discontinued) Greys Prowla Platinum 12ft deadbait rods.

The Greys Prowla range where great rods, I bet they pair up nicely with the lightweight C14's? Hopefully you're catching a few nice pike to put them through their paces?

Hi Yo Jawzy, the 5500 size would balance better with a 2.75lb tc rod.

How would these fair on a specimen rod with 1.5 - 2.5 test curve? Trying to decide between these and a 6000 baitrunner
Hi Ben, the Ultegra 5500 balances nicely with specimen/barbel type rods. Makes a nice surface fishing reel too.

Is it worth buying these reels for that money? Many say it is phenomenal but there are also distas of those who say that the plastic and after 2,3 years of use there is a problem with the reel ... What do you think ... I'm thinking between Ultegra and Okuma TX 60 FD ???Help me

Hi, I have also an Ultegra 5500 XTD reel, wich rod is good for it the Nash Dwarf 10ft 3.5lbs or 10ft 3.25lbs?
The ultegra 5500 XTD would balance up perfectly with either of those rods.

I would choose 3.25 out of the 2 but if it was me i would even go lower like 2.75 i have 10ft rods and my opinion is 2.75 perfect sorry cant explain it very wel im dutch

@@laszlofoldvari5719 depends i fish on small lakes so i dont have cast very far but if you have to cast further then 3.25/3.50 wpuld be good so it depends
Looking to get a set of these on 12ft 3lb TC carp rods, is it best to get the 14000 and add the line reducers?
yes yes yes, 5000 would be to small but 14000 is perfect Im using them with my 10ft scope and they are just perfect
Hi Sam, Hope all is well. The 5500 could still be used with 12ft rods for sure. They are a smaller body so may feel more comfortable to cast especially with a lighter test curve rod. You could always head into your local AD store and test them out and see how it feels in the hand! All the best
