I'd love to see a show where Karl takes Ricky and Steve around the estate where he grew up. Showing them where tattoo Stan lived, where the horse in the house was and his school where all the freaky kids were educated.

I actually disagree, some XFM recordings sounded really bad but most of them sound abit clearer than this ; the low mid range sounds very fuzzy and distorted from the tape. Sounds like abit to much gain.

Are you having a laugh? This is full of artifacts and a horrible sharpness. XFM had a dull softness to it

This content could NEVER happen in this day and age of PC correctness but thank goodness it's here and here's to it always being available for free so new fans can experience this as well!

After about 5 years of listening to the XFM shows this is amazing, I've heard the other BBC show (French food in hand) but never this, such a happy moment to have a brand new episode it's like they've reformed.

Ricky gives the example of “what’s an Evertonian” (although granted I’ve only heard that term in reference to football supporters, as opposed to being a Liverpudlian, ie from Liverpool which would’ve been a far more helpful example) and Karl just chops off the entire “lonian” part of the word and simply goes for “baba” … unbelievable.
He truly is a bald little round headed buffoon of a man. And I love him with all my heart. 😂

Oh no, here I am at the (brilliant) Radio 2 shows again, after listening to the entire XFM series twice through since Christmas! Really wish there was more radio material - the podcasts just don't have the same replay value.
The Christmas specials might be my favorite recordings these three ever did.

James Blunt is the only rockbuster I've ever worked out from the clue rather than just guessing a band name that fits the initials!
Think I've only ever worked out a maximum of three Rockbusters on these shows. One of them was Mister Mister. Can't remember what the others were.

I was kind of disappointed when ricky came up with a basic jingle, I was hoping for something more like "OooOooh, whats he made up now?! THOUGHT OF THE DAY!"
