Yo , whatup Dan. Awesome being a stand up roll model for the youth of our times. Excellent performance, highly interesting! Congrats. You accomplished being an intersted person to the young! :) those little squirts. Dude, you're like a " Hero " to those kids! Amazing brother.
Hello Dan! Love your channel. I recently purchased a gold cube and I want to splice the pump into a converter to run off of 110. Do you or any of your fans have a recommendation for a converter?
Hello, couple of questions. Here in the USA, can I set up on a beach (ocean, lake, river, etc.) without any permits? Is the BLM my best bet for all things (mining vs permits)? Thanks
+Rodger Johnston The first year I recorded many of my field trips and physical projects from the class. Second year I recorded many of my theory lessons. This coming year I( plan on filling in the blanks. Should mostly be on TH-cam by then and of this coming year.
heres a tip newbie, go onto a claim in the fall in bc say and let it rain for 3 days close to snowing, making the ground (bentonite) so slick u cant drive let alone walk out at say the bottom of a 5km mountain road and your equipment is probably close to junk, illegal or both, then you get skunked with zero gold and your motivation is at an all time low, so thats your lesson number 1 for the day/ dig it??
i ran some hard rock thru my crusher, it came out as fine as flower, what would be the best way to capture the gold? blue bowl, gold cube, or miler table? please respond
@@doortoodoor1289 my GC commonly catches gold so fine l can't see it without a loop or unless it's bunched up with other specs. And that's with a 2000gph pump pushing water through it way faster than its designed for. In my case lm using it as a secondary recovery after my main dream mat highbanker, so its far from ideal conditions for a GC, but it still catches large percentage of ultra fine gold even in those terrible conditions.
Depends on how much material you have. A blue bowl or Miller table will catch more, but are extremely slow, a GC can generally be run all day with a pretty quick feed rate before you need to do a clean-up. Just make sure your material is thoroughly wet before putting it through the GC or it will float if it's fine and use jet dry to help avoid surface tension.
Hello Dan, just got into your channel and I am loving the content! I have a question about running the gold cube. So the material that I usually work has a lot of clay in it and sometimes I feel that the clay is clogging the matting of my gold cube which means I would be losing good amounts of gold. I was wondering if you have any recommendations about ways I can keep this from happening? Can't wait so see what you have got coming up!
One of the stories from the Klondike Era was that the ppl that had the best odds of getting rich were those providing materials, tools, services, food, liquor, etc to the miners.
The price of the Gold Cube is such a rip off. I'm gonna think of a way to create my own device and save. The science behind it isn't difficult. Until then, a pan will do me.
the gold cube is overpriced, heavy. too big. the stand sucks and is over engineered for real world use. not practical on a claim. maybe in the home but for over $500 not worth it at all! a trommel mounted on it makes it weigh a ton and is not practical, classify with a thrift store screen

the gold pieces you are showing is bigger. what if the gold are like a power, does it filter that as well?

Any chance you could have a gold mining and mineral prospecting course online so people all over the world could benefit.

Does the gold cube fit in the tote sitting below it?
So this is like a sluice box, only folded and stacked?
Good stuff Dan thanks for the good videos.

A saw a person using a Gold Cube after crushing his material into powder... but he was trying to sell the Gold Cube by demonstrating how it works.
u cant run flour thru a gc period u will lose all the au. u need to send it to a refiner

Sir, why do some prospectors put a mat on the slick plate?
Hi Dan
Could you suggest a good eighth inch classifier for the top of the cube ?
Thanks for the video
yea a $1 screen from thrift

You think the Fraser gold is fine, you should see the North Saskatchewan river gold, it is micro fine.

I would say that with sufficient water it shouldn't be clogging the mats.
With Centrifugal concentrator Flexicone you can get twice more gold
Is there a good way to use a magnet to remove the iron without losing gold?
say what? irons specific gravity is by half+ lower than au and is pointless
when is your next gold mining course?
nothing planned
what you didnt add is how fast, GPH the water is running
THANK YOU DAN GREAT VIDEO!
You're welcome!
$500 machine that should be less than $150. It's all injection molded plastic.
