- In this video I play the Palmer-Hughes arrangement of Emile Waldteufel's "España" waltz. Waldteufel's piece was originally inspired by Emmanuel Chabrier. This is a very fun, lively piece to play on accordion. Cheers! -Tom

I did grade 8 royal schools, but our teachers lacked knowledge of telling us how to get the right sound our of the instrument. oh well you have definitely inspired me. thanks heaps
My pleasure. Glad you enjoyed. And thanks again for your nice comments!
Thanks for posting this. I just started working on Book8 of Palmer Hughes and I'm using this as my tutor. You are a great accordionist! I would love it if you would post more!
Jazzy A Thanks, that means a lot! I'm working on some new stuff... stay tuned!
Tom, Thank you for posting this song from Book 8. Very nicely done! I hope one day to be able to play this song too. I am still in Book 7. This looks so intimidating!
Thank you! Just keep at it and you'll get there!
Merveilleux. Je. Découvre.
Did you say this song España is intermediate? Ha ha ha!!! Maybe to you- a great accordionist. It’s actually in Book 8 of the PH 10 book series. I’m just getting back into accordion playing- I was on book 7 about 12 when I stopped. Wish I’d kept playing. You’re my inspiration! Thanks…
Thank you! I always thought this one was fun to play, which definitely helps. Keep at it!
bravo !!
Thank you!
Wonderful performance Tom! I will try to play this one on my Roland FR-4X. Subscriber Andy

Tom, parabens, a long time I look for the musical score from Spain to accordeon, you sell me this score? how to get?
+Damatta Cosmeticos Hi and thanks for watching! This song is part of the Palmer Hughes Accordion Course, Book 8. You can buy book 8 on Amazon, Alfred Music, Barnes and Noble and a few other places. The book is inexpensive and should be pretty easy to find. Hope that helps!
I have 5 accordions, I cannot get a bass like that on any , what? is the make up of it eg reeds cassotto? and if it it to pertinent to ask HOW MUCH? an arm and a leg I suppose and a bit more wonderfull sound been looking for something like that for 70 yrs but still enjoy playing
I did some research and I'm pretty sure it's a double tone chamber (cassotto) accordion. Thanks for watching and for your nice comment!
Zeer goed en ook het baswerk veel mooier dan dat elektronisch gedoe
Gr Lies
Ik ben het er helemaal mee eens! Bedankt voor het opmerken en voor je leuke reactie!
