I’m intrigued that the two lead performers, Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer, did so well in spite of not being native English speakers. Bergman had only come to Hollywood 5 years earlier and at the time could speak no English at all!

I’m 93 and I find that the two best films ever made are CASABLANCA and GASLIGHT with Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer.
Watched this today !. Set off some trigger..and was 1944 ...thanks be, things are changing.
yes, it remains a powerful and surprisingly relevant portrayal - disconcertingly so! Things are changing but work remains to be done :-)
