It must be a bit exasperating to you that you have TH-cam experts watching everything you do and provide input on how you do everything wrong. But for me, I just watch and enjoy.
Agreed! Also, I don't know why it keeps surprising me, but it's so cool learning about all the neat time- and effort-saving devices that exist in the heavy equipment world. Things like how the drawbar on the dump trailer hooks up to the truck. Or the pockets for the safety chains. Or...
Just so you know, I love your show, I live in Michigan, and watch you all the time. I was watching Steve Lehto 's show on TH-cam, and he had on one of your shirts,(" I never said I was good at this ") shirt. I thought that was cool so I thought I would let you know too. Keep up the get work. God Bless you and your family!!!! Pete
For more than 30 years of tying down windsurfing boards and kayaks with straps on roof racks and trailers, I wrapped those stupid tails around and around bars and tied them off, which was always a waste of time. When I saw how you use clamps, I thought how effing stupid have I been for over half of my life. Got some harbor freight clamps and now my l smile clamping those tails. Thank you, Casey, for making my life so much better! 🤣
Something similar came up in a comment on video I was watching yesterday, on a completely different subject, that's relevant. It seems like a lot of people are taught *_one_* way to do something that can be done several ways, and then assume that's the *_only_* way to do it. So, when they see someone do it differently, the conclusion they jump to is that it's wrong.
Hi Casey My name is Larry Beasley. I HAVE FOLLOWED YOU FOR YEARS!! I want to Thank You for the things you have done for myself and for the public service projects you have done!!!! Once in a while there is so egghead that thinks he is smarter than you, makes stupid comments that make you pissed. PLEASE don't listen to those people. They are jealous of your ability to help those in need! And you have helped many people without knowing you have!! I AM ONE OF THEM simply by witching your posting!!!! I'm an old man now but I tried to help those in need when I was young. I also know you have health problems. PLEASE take care of yourself for your families sake !! See ya in the next video! THANKS! Larry from Chincoteague island, Va
I like how you always explain what you are doing and why YOU do it that way. Also, about the chains on a tongue trailer being crossed, which is the correct way and the reasons you explained why, I have argued with lots of people over that. They couldn't grasp the reality of catching the tongue on the chains.
When my son was growing up, we did different things together. When we got done, like pouring concrete, re-roofing a house with his uncle, he would say, “Well that’s a job I would not want to do as a career”! I thought that when I realized someone off loaded what ever was in that dump truck, more than likely by hand, one shovel full at a time. If I recall correctly the truck was loaded when you picked it up the first time.
And we call that….”Close ENOUGH”! Keep the videos coming young man! You are the most entertaining towing channel on TH-cam! I love your documentation, explanations and thinking out loud! See are good at what you do!
Great job on helping this guy get his truck moved to the shop! Poor guy! I feel sorry for him facing THAT repair bill. Hope they do a good job and he has NO MORE problems!
So the question is Who's paying for the repair? The "mechanic" did the original repair which possibly caused this major problem? It is SO HARD to find GOOD COMPETENT mechanics that are also trustworthy!! It seems we've gotten away from having pride in your work. Keep on keeping on brother!!
I took a load to the dump on my trailer today. Ratchet straps, of course. And tails. Damn! Now I am going to buy some clamps. That really is the easiest way!
Good morning 😊 You are so methodical on your hookups and explain why and how you do everything! It’s nothing I need to know, but it is so interesting to watch!👍😎 Keep the great videos coming and I will be watching. Stay safe out there!❤️🙏
Casey, you may be able to get the camera to be more reliable by putting a different or taller antenna on it. One way would be to add an extension cable (coax with the right fittings) so you can relocate your antenna to a high spot with the least obstructions (metal) between it and the cab unit.
New subscriber. Not sure what about vehicle recovery channels that fascinate me but your videos are a great watch. Fun and informative. Thank you for doing what you do and sharing it with us.
Casey I remember you telling us about where the tow jaws go last time and the air fitting belongs thx for the video I love watching your videos, can't get enough of these recoverys 👍
Really love when you get a truck out of the shop and it breaks down the first time you use it. Hopefully the owner gets right after that shop, they need to make this right. Also noticing those front tires, pretty nasty looking and need to be replaced soon, don't think they'd get past a DOT inspection.
People on here that want to critique Casey who's been doing this professionally for years crack me up. Most if not all have never driven a tow truck. I mean I drove a little Holmes for 440 way back in the '70s. But I couldn't hold a candle to the stuff Casey does. And I'll admit it.
Nice to see that you can keep your roll back busy as well as your wrecker. I thought you had mentioned before that it was not cost effective to have both
Hey Casey appreciate all your content I actually had to use The knowledge I learned from you to tow my C10 Chevy truck appreciate you brother keep up the good work
Good looking out Casey fixing that air leak you’re the man you’re always on it. Thanks for showing us out on the hookah transfer. Trailer also and teaching us a little bit about transfer trailers.
Does your under reach allow for you to run it onto the ground far enough to lift your back wheels and propel the truck forward enough to clear obstacles like bumpers so you can do the fold without having to step into the cab to roll forward?
In tow school they tough us to cross the safety chains on wheel lifts so that if your load did come off the wheel lift it would tow straight and not drift side to side into other lanes or off the road.
Im almost in the same boat.My overhead on my cummins needs adjustment.I have a flutter on accelleration at higher speeds.Hopefully it doesn't get worse until my garage can look at it.
If it bounced out of the axle hooks, still have the meat of the underreach under the guts of the front end. Hate to see what would happen if the safety chains were called into service.
Does the mechanic who did the repair that didn't seem to repair the issue bear some responsibility for anything that happened due to the repair that didn't seem to repair the issue?
Casey, I'd say that you're probably happy that you didn't win the auction bid on that truck after all!
You beat me to it. Bullet dodged.
I think Casey would have done better.... that guy got screwed by previous mechanic I think. He did crap job on new heads

The issues and repair cost on the red truck sure make me less concerned about the dead battery in my riding mower .

Bought one of those shirts also , I wear it to work on auction day 😁
I think someone needs to send Steve Lehto the "I Hate Casey LaDelle" shirt. :)
My late father was on the board of directors of Cummins Engine Company.
Judging by the state of his left front tire, I think your friend's truck needs more than an engine rebuild.
he,s a battler.. like us ausies.. work hard , do the right thing, with minimal funds..
I noticed that worn tire too. I'm not a truck tire expert but it looks overdue for replacement

juuuuuuuuust enough time to watch casey do tow truck things, before IFT4 launches.

I love to see the Western Star/Zacklift in operation.

Check to see if camera and wireless remote are on the same frequency and interfere with each other
