Cheers for doing this video, already got a decent idea how it all works, but still cool to watch! Gotta say I don't think I've seen an SPAK front lift with that tiny operator interface, only seen the wider screen which I think is the MD4 type, the little one looks ridiculous in that wide space haha I definitely want to get back in front lift in future, miss lifting the big bins overhead.

Why do the Australian versions of the trucks have lids on the top of them? is it to conceal the insides from harsh conditions or something? Or is it to make sure no contents of bins fall out?

To you mean the 3rd lid that runs across the truck?, mainly to help prevent rubbish from landing on the roof of the body and falling off as you drive landing on traffic behind, lids have to be closed when travelling to prevent loose light weight rubbish like paper or cardboard flying out when travelling,

One time I was in a bus driving behind a cleanaway front loader and as he was driving on a freeway he opened the top lids

Love the vid. and the systems The first question I've got to ask is does that system break down often? I used to work with automation and love that stuff in action.

No, not often, if the system not happy about something it will let you know why, multiple sensors everywhere fail from time to time,

What speed does the alarm sound when you have your arms at windscreen level?

If the arms are level with the top of the windscreen, you where right on legal high with the isuzu, I don't remember there being an audio alarm, indicator light was on, it might of even locked the truck in first

@@shaned8845 I do an old industrial area early in the mornings and most powerlines and telecommunications lines that go from post to building on the other side of the street wouldn’t be much heigher than 4m so I have to keep arms below windscreen height.

Hi Shane, I have a HR Auto licence. I'm just wondering, are all the Cleanaway trucks auto?

I'd say most trucks in the waste industry are autos regardless of which company
