Magneto is without any doubt one of Marvels' most tragic villains. A victim of pain and suffering we could never truly fathom, and one of which we ourselves could potentially become. The true horror is that Magneto became the very thing that he feared.
I can see where he came from, he witnessed one of the most horror humanity ever done, he knows humans can do terrible things to people because of silly things as difference, and he knows they have to attack now when they have the upper hand
