The short stroke doesn´t affect the torque characteristics of an engine as long as displacement is kept the same… and the seem-to-be low end torque on some engines on the other hand is just lack of torque in the high end.
Wow. The turbo power is simply amazing. That tractor has won a place in my heart. the shufling of gears is so sychronised that the tractor does not stall despite the heavy load in tow.
@@jasdeepsingh5163 Yes 20 tonnes is alot given the tractors HP.Im sure its the gearbox that is doing the big job and the turbo. Farm tractor do max load of abt 7 to 8 tonnes.
@@francismalonza6114 man you need to watch videos of Indian sugarcane farmers. They have almost tiny 55 hp tractor and usually carry load on them of about 25-30 tonnes. I am amazed by fact that an new holland 3630 (55 hp) has an record pull of 700 tonnes which the tractor pulled for about 25 miles to Phagwara sugar mill

I enjoyed that. The sound of power at work, driven well by a good operator. My T6080 never gets to do such hard work, so I never get to really 'hear' the music! 👍
happy new year michael . this is great video of classic tractor at work , fair play to the driver he works the gears well. the tractor is 25 years or more its running like a mouses heart .and its not all smoke too .
To HS agricultural services get a John Deere MF case international that age to pull as sweet as that old girl . 8210 travels well on the road with that weight . It sings a number one song .

@@MF175mp Reving the engine for upshifts while holding the clutch in doesn't really hurt the clutch, maybe just tiny bit more wear on the release bearings. As far as gear box goes, it doesn't hurt it, as a matter of fact rev matching, helps the gearbox. Either way it sounds really cool, I rev mine for upshifts too.
@@jaykamal1978 you need to lower rpm when shifting up in order to match rpm? I shift without using the clutch on our non synchro transmission vehicles, but we don't have any steep hills here. Or did you mean by upshifting shifting down when going up the hill, that should go without touching the rpm much
2:54 "dual split" from Ford since end of the 70´s work at first in 5000´s if i remember correct with a big lever ..in this model it was a rabbit/turtle button..and still on this it was a nice feature and very reliable !

This 8210 is real machine. i dont think there is an equivalent challenger.no stalling only a little extra black exhaust smoke when the gas pedal is pushed to the edge.The torque. amazing. i enjoy riding a tractor when you see how much pulling power it yields
Huge Power? As an stock Ford 8210 has "only" 110hp. I wouldn't call that as a "Huge Power". Although this beast of an 8210 has way more than 110jp, but it ain't stock.

iwas a mechanic of them in late 80´s in germany . they had about 115 hp but this must have much more....near 200 ? The advantage of Fords square strokers (112mmx112mm) was always the lower average piston speed.

I used to drive one of those. I can still feel and hear it.what a machine!For me one of the best sounding exhausts next to rs turbo's and cosworth's.
That is what you call a professional tractor driver, he knows how to change the gears.

The climb seemed endless, great driving, great tractor.

Yeah, has to rev engine between upshifts. Can understand revs to go to a lower gear if it has truck type transmission.

That's not necessary for upshifts but it's just a driving habbit, sometimes it helps but not necessary, just makes it sound great.

You lose the revs in a ford engine you lose your power they havent as much torque low down so keep them revs up and she'll pull like a train ;)
