I didn’t hate Philly for the Eagles beating the Vikings in the NFC Championship, but the fact that the improv group is called Fjord gives me Swedish rage
One of the guys in Fjord did a late night style talk show on stage with his friend and they were looking for new writers, so they had people send in a packet of fifteen Tonight Show style opening monologue jokes. I sent a packet in and they replied "these jokes are not appropriate for our show," so imagine my surprise when three of my jokes were in the first monologue with the new writers. It gets better... After the first one, they did the monologue two more times because they were absolute death, so instead of that, they'd just read headlines and the hosts would riff on them, which was even worse. One or two months later, the show was gone entirely. Epilogue: The guy from Fjord blocked me because I criticized Ruth Bader Ginsburg for not retiring when she was 78, had two cancer diagnoses and Obama had a supermajority in the Senate. Also, their indiegogo campaign didn't even get half of what they asked for, not that they needed $5,000 in the first place, since a lot of them have rich parents.
Idk whats more sad, needing to raise money to go to canada and not being able to just got to canada, or that a group of 6 adults cant come up with $5k between them.
