Some people saying the album is "nothing special" and there's "no spark" ?? Well, as soon as I heard them there was a spark for me. People have different tastes and different things impact those tastes differently. You can personally say there was no spark for YOU, but that doesn't mean to say there's no spark for anyone. I for one love the album and love the band. Can't wait for the new album now ❤️

His music is a classic example of music i want to like but can't. Theres just nothing there, no spark. Dont get me wrong he seems like a nice kid but catfish and the bottlemen are nothing to write home about, typical nme exaggerated band.
That's exactly right. I feel bad having watched this because I think he seems very genuine and nice but their music is just dull.

I don't think he'll end up like Alex Turner. AM is significantly more successful than CaTB. Alex Turner let the fame go to his head. Van seems like he knows where he's coming from and won't forget his roots
***** That's quite strange actually because i get quite a spark from pacifier and kathleen. It just grows on you i find. Dunno, their music is quite teenagery but they are in the early years. Not every debut album will make you love them. They have more to come.
***** I don't think alex turner did let it go to his head, I think he's just trying to change his persona and is getting more confident. He and the band still constantly refers back to their Sheffield roots.
Van is a cool guy but their album isn't anything special
He calls their album and band simple. He knows its not extravagant. Its just relatable and realistic. I think that's why people love it so much.
