    For the preamp out I used a Kicker LOC wired to a male RCA and you get an instant 5V for my subs. As for my door mids and highs I used the high ends also to an LOC and bumped the voltage to 5V.

    Hey Jason, Happy Thanksgiving.... This week I will join you with my 2nd WS6 being delivered, this time a T-top to go with my Vert. I have a New Joying 10.1 radio, that I am prepping for install. I know its been a couple years, but I thought I'd ask anyways.
    Looking at the Joying ISO Harness, they have 2 SWC wires (key 1 Brown and Key 2 Pink). These are to be connected to the SWC in the car. According to the Wiring diagram, we only have 1 SWC wire (dark blue). Do you remember how you set yours up? Did you use just 1 wire or tie them all together?
    Edit - I think I found the answer, twist them all together.

      @@shuntao3475 Congrats on your purchase. Check out my other videos. I recorded a complete steering wheel control install for Android radios. You need to buy a PAC SW adapter and wire it. If you just twist them all together it will not work.

    my father has another type of android radio thats a double din in his camaro, you can buy brackets that will make the double din radios fit so i do have a question, why did you go with this radio? besides its contents (it seems very well functioning) was the single din electronics just more appealing or easier to install? also how is the audio processing? if i do get this radio for my TA i wanna hold off on an amp

      The single and double din version of it are identical. When it was released it was originally only available in the single din. The double came out a few weeks later. That's really the only reason I bought the single din of it.

    Just got mine up and running and it’s pretty cool! Mostly on your recommendation I purchased but I got the 10.1 in 1920x1200 new model (I think it’s new as of 10/21!?)
    So I have the power car antenna wired to the ‘ant’ wire on the radio and it does come up but seems to come up when the car is turned on (acc) and not go down when I switch to other music apps. Not a big deal but would like it to go down when I play something other than radio like it did with my Alpine.
    Another things is I have external amps and it wasn’t obvious you need to turn on ‘amp’ in the settings before the amp turn on will pass the signal to actually turn on my amps. Just a hint for others…
    Trying to get the Google play store set up on the unit failed repeatedly when selecting PayPal for payment. Found through a web search that you need a desktop or laptop and set up PayPal there first but it still failed for me. Not a biggie and doesn’t seem to be a Joying issue.
    That unit beep is really loud! Haven’t messed too much with it yet but it would be nice to have a level setting for that so I could get audible feedback after leaving the tree. It’s just too hard to drive the 1/4 and set a song or call for celebratory pizza and beer at that point 🤔😂
    I ended up with a double din since I ordered the older unit single din from China on 8/16 and it just yesterday shipped 10/4! Amazon had the newer 1920x 1200 unit in stock for next day shipping but it was double din. Double din will fit in a 4th Gen trans am or Camaro. You just need to cut the floor out of the dash radio compartment. No biggie as it’s reinforced plastic.
    Gonna 3D print a bezel for the screen. That will be fun!
    Steering wheel controls aren’t working yet but I think your other video will help as I’m using an old PAC unit and that video gave me some clues.
    The screen is real responsive and after several reboots (not by me! It was self induced on the unit) it seems to have settled down and is behaving. But I only have several hours playing at this point. Much of which was trying to figure out the interface, how to get the apps, and then why there was no amp turn on signal being sent.
    OK - enough…. I wanna play with it this afternoon!

    • @VmanJeff
      @VmanJeff 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      BTW - where did you mount the GPS antenna? I’m thinking of going externally in the sail panel at the rear hatch but that’s a big hole relatively to drill. Maybe above the rear view on the windshield??
      And the 4G antennas don’t seem to be useful to me as I’m not planning on contracting a service at this time but will probably just mount them on either side of the dash concealed under it. Hmmmm

    • @1999TransAmWS6
      @1999TransAmWS6  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can turn the system beep off in the sound settings. I don't know why almost every radio on the planet defaults to the beep on. I always find them super annoying. For my power antenna I have a toggle switch hooked up for that wire. I absolutely never listed to the radio so there is no reason to have it going up and down. The switch is for the rare occasion my wife drives the car. As for the GPS antenna, I have it behind the plastic trim of the A pillar. It sits flat close to the windshield. There's plenty room for it there. Driver or passenger side both work perfectly. I've mounted every gps radio antenna I've owned in the past 15 years there and it always works perfectly. 😎

      @@1999TransAmWS6 Both great ideas! Will be doing them today. The old PAC SWC I have didn’t work no matter what. I got tired of messing and just ordered the axxess model.
