As a Sabaton fan and a new viewer i am really excited for the eventual reaction to En Livstid I Krig (the live version from The Great Tour in Gothenburg), one of if not the best live in my opinion. Keep up with the great reaction. Edit: i recommend to use subtitles for that one ⬆️
Yes! Please do this one! And as the OG comment said, do use english subtitles, as the song is in Swedish and understanding what they're singing about makes a big difference. The official translation isn't amazing on this one, but it's good enough to understand the context.
Well, in the beginning, the guys hung out and listening to bands like Priest and Maiden and trying to put a band together So there's no coincidence they picked up something from their favourite bands🤘
I'm not surprised that you draw comparisons with Sabaton with bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. Sabaton draw most of their inspiration from 80's metal because that's the kind of music that all the band members like the most. And I know that Iron Maiden is one of the bands that inspire them when they write music. So rather than getting butt hurt at the comparison. I would say you're completely on the mark for the inspiration of this band. :D The fact that they draw the inspiration from the metal music scene of the 80's is one of the reasons I love this band so much. Because the sound is both classic and timeless at the same time.
I hear you about the brass. I was there when my dad sold all his brass for money. I didn't quite know it but it was a sad day in my life. Also, yes, that solo is extremely sick and maybe the best they've ever done.
They are on tour, opening for Judas Priest, with dates from next week through May (east and midwest locations). Go see them. I got to see them in Oct 2022, with opening act Epica, on back-to-back nights in Nashville and Atlanta. It was worth the drive.
With lordi as the opener i got to see sabaton live also. They did also have babymetal there which most people didn't like but holy hell in finland when lordi starts playing hard rock hallelujah we go INSANE❤
I know I'm commenting 7 months too late, but if you see this please react to Sabaton's Fields of Verdun, as there is a part that is drawn directly from J. Priest's Electric Eye. I love when I first heard it because I freaked out and it felt awesome that two of my favorite bands were connected.
I dont unserstand why people get offended if you compare sabaton to another similar sounding band by the melody. If you compare what they do then what the hell but more weird. If you would compare stormtroopers to something like nightwish sleeping sun then yes i would get offended, listen for 30 seconds you dont know what similarities they have😂
One of the best solos on the album on this epic track, imo.. LOVE it.. and the Sabaton history to this is VERY interesting, too :) Another track with a similar powerful and fast paced feeling to it on the album is "Valley of Death", imo way too often overlooked, a damn cool song..would love to see you listen to it, too... greetings from Germany :) ps.. it is late.. damn the typos ^^
If you want one of their very few non-history songs take one of their earliest "Shadows", you won't quite recognize them, but it is good. Musically Dreadnought, Race to the sea and soldier of three armies, is highly recommended. En Livstad Krig, live in Gothenburg, Winged Husars and Konungens Likfärd would be other recommendations
When you get to the songs on the Carolus Rex album (the ones that have both a Swedish and an English version) please do both of them. I highly recommend every single song from than album.
this was my favorite Sabaton song all the way up until I heard Dreadnought a month or two later. Dreadnought imo 100% has the best hook, I absolutely love it
Great reaction!! 🤘 This is one of my favourite songs from this album. I see that you more or less are "falling in love" with this band. That situation was exactly the same I went through 5 years ago. That feeling still remains.🤘😃 If you ever get the chance to see Sabaton live, by all means, do it!! A fair warning, tho... Once you've started go to their shows, you might get addicted to it... 😉 Btw, I have no problems with you comparing Sabaton with other great bands. Sabaton is among the Great ones by now. 🤘
En livstid i krig live in gothemburg 2020, bismarck music vide, father and 1916 music video are a must. I havent checked your channel out yet to see if you have done any, if you have i will check those reactions and if you have not i will request these again😊
The Strumtruppen used in the First World War by Germany were meant to win the war in 1918. As every country was facing exhausted armies and severe manpower and financial shortages, German Army Staff believed that if they could utilize special shock troops to break through allied lines, they could push the BEF back into the English Channel and totally rout the French Army. They failed
Stormtroopers is one of my favorites, and it's a great song live. And I don't think it is bad to be compared with Judas Priest or Iron Maiden ^^ For the next reaction, I recommend the animated story videos for "The Red Baron" and "Night Witches" Or for live performances "En livstid I krig" from Gothenburg or "Carolus Rex" from Stockholm both with captions because it's in swedish.

Sabaton will be touring the US with J. Priest in a few weeks ..
Greetings from Sweden
Yeah, I saw them with Priest two days ago. And, yes, this song is a bit frenzied live, too.
I can't think of a better voice to tell these stories. It just fits
Awesome bro 🎉🎉
En livstid i krig live in Gothenburg is a must do reaction. You will love that ❤
Great reaction brother 💯🤘👊
Agreed, it's amazing, just make sure to turn on subs as it's in Swedish
I would see it a compliment to comapre them to legends like Maiden and Judas Priest. 🤘😎
I was waiting for your reaction to the solo.😂
I would love for you to go back and explore the Carolus Rex album
Would love to hear Wolfpack!
Its a little older but still its Sabaton.
Thats what matters!
I concur!🤘 One of my favourite songs at the moment.😉

Sabaton - Dreadnought. Reaction 🙏🏻

That video made it look like the stormtroopers are just a force of nature

They covered Judas Priests All guns blazing. You should check it out, I think you will really like it!
Great reaction man..🤟🇸🇪
Sabaton themselves have said that they have taken inspiration from Iron Maiden for their music

This one and The Valley of Death has amazing guitar solos. This is done by Tommy and The Valley is done by Chris. Give it a listen
Rorks drift for a great guitar solo ❤

I recommend Race To The Sea, the music video.

No. They worked for the most part. Then the americans showed up
you should listen to sabaton "Metal Crue" Metal Machine" and Metal Ripper" in that order. and one right after another!
Hey, Sabaton are going on tour with Judas Priest in the USA really soon. Maybe they are coming to a city near you?
Stormtroopers is one of my favorites, and it's a great song live. And I don't think it is bad to be compared with Judas Priest or Iron Maiden ^^
