    *Used to supplement the up stairs when it gets hot outside this works very well and **Fastly.Cool** Also works good when the upstairs gets too hot in the Winter from the heater.*

    Performance Reports stopped working on Nov 12th. I opened a ticket with Lennox and all I'm hearing is to be patient and that IT is aware!

    Could you explain the transition process. I set the time that I want air conditioning to come on but it actually comes on as much as 2 hours earlier.

    I can't believe how complicated this thermostat is!!! Can't even figure out how to go from heat to air conditioning and the local temperature is supposed to go to 82 degrees today.

    Hi just got this unit installed auxiliary heat's not supposed to come on till 7°. There's an icon that pops up defrosting,however in the panel I do not see a defrosting icon. I know what defrosting means. I'm just curious, making sure that it doesn't mean that maybe the unit up in the attic is not going to defrost and cause water damage, or if that means that the unit outside is defrosting. If the latter, should I put a cover over the unit? I have no idea. Does Lennox have a rep to contact? Thank you!

    I have a Lennox variable speed furnace unit. And my contractor said I have to use this thermostat, $900 all-inclusive. What the heck? is it even true that I have to use this one? does the price sound right?

    Just brought a house with this system. How can I remove the other user? It keeps saying invalid user when I try to do the move out option. Help needed please

      Tplus30 didn’t worked had to call them and they didn’t even know how to do it, called a technician who installed to previous owner. He didn’t know how to do it after he called manufacturer again they were able to do it. But it costed me $189 for the tech to come. I even had the previous owner code and everything this is a very complicated product in my opinion not that homeowner friendly. Nest is way easier and better to operate.

      @@mgtazco I just got a quote on the price of this thing...it is bloody expensive, and unless someone out knows how to get around the wiring I am stuck buying this thermostat to replace my old Lennox I-comfort one. 4 wires R, I+, I-, C. I have spoken with a Nest rep and I cannot use the Nest thermostat.

      @@mgtazco if you have a Lennox modulating furnace, going to Nest will relegate it to a two-stage furnace and you’ll lose all of the benefits of modulation, unfortunately.

    Have the SLP98 with ( S10 display ( not certain, cannot find where the model is ) . Anyway, the furnace cycles sometimes 8 times per hour as it did recently when the outdoor temp was 40 F. Drive me nuts. And coming on that often, might ( not sure ) affect the electric bill due to the igniter activity so often ? Came across info that the temperature variation is 1/2 of 1 degree ? I want to set the unit so if the temp is set at 72, the furnace will cycle on, take the house temp up to 73, then shut off until the house temp drops again to 72. How to adjust the temperature spread ?? ( no outdoor sensors, no internet connect , strictly a stand alone unit. )

    We just got one installed yesterday but the temp inside reads higher than it is. Also the outside temp is not right either not sure why but we are calling Lennox about it today. Any thoughts?

      Hi, so after your year's usage of thermostat I'm curious about your experience with the device and Lennox response to your issue. Would you recommend this thermostat to other Lennox owners? I see it's priced at $1300.00, would you replace the unit at that price if it wasn't under warranty?

    Is there a setting which will only allow a single AC to be on at any single time? I've edited the schedules to do this, but would just prefer a setting that would cycle the ACs in a way that would only allow a single AC to be on at one time. I'm trying to minimize my peak demand charges.

    Can you comment on what is Ambient Lockout that comes up on my display? How does it affect which heat system (pump and auxiliary) is used? A video addressing this would be very helpful and greatly appreciated.

      Essentially ambient lockout prevents the heat pump from running in heating when it’s too cold outside. Generally the ambient lockout for heating is anything below 0°, which the system should then start using auxiliary heat

    How do I turn on the humidifier? In the settings menu there appears to be no other option but OFF next to the “humidifier”.

    Just found out it is a whopping 750 bucks for this thermostat. Ouch...and I cannot go with..say the nest either as the I-comfort thermostat communicates specifically with the Lennox furnace.

      Seriously though. Sucks right? Not to mention this unit has been around since 2015. You’d think Lennox would upgrade the tech after 6 years, especially at this price point.

      Well unfortunatley with a communicating system it sends a pulsating current back and forth to all the equiptment much like morris code. The fact is nest has been out for a decade and hasnt been able to adapt.

      Actually I just read on a forum it will rot the heat exchanger. So no, you don’t want to set below 60 degrees

      No you just have to change the thermostat. You probably will have to reset your smart hub though

    I do not understand how long the fan is supposed to run. If you select, say 17 minutes per hour, does that fan running so long make the electric bill significantly higher? I. As m an old lady on a fixed income!

    I locked my screen because I use the app. Now the app doesn't work and I can't unlock the thermostat. This is very frustrating 😤. This is the second time in a 2 years that I've had issues. A simple reset should be all that I need however, no videos on how to do this. Help pleases 🙏

    Are you EVER going to make a new smart thermostat for your line of modulating, variable-speed gas furnaces!? I have the SLP98v, and whist it is an amazing furnace, there should be more than one $800 option. And if I’m spending $800, it better be a lot easier to use, a lot less buggy, and a lot more intuitive than these S30 units. I mean where’s the innovation? You released these in 2015!!!

      Buy it on eBay. It is still under warrants long as you register it. My dealer put mine in.

      @@lennoxresidential - I have. Why else would I post what I posted? You haven’t released a new thermostat that communicates with modulating furnaces like the SLP98V that I have since 2015. Meanwhile, everyone else is dropping different, better iterations every year. Do better!

    Max life span of this device is ~5 years right after warranty. Lennox is a HVAC company and is not specialized on making such devices. This device dies and I am blackmailed with my investment on AC and Furnace.

    Shame on Lennox for making an expensive ($9,000) Heat pump depend on this electronic piece of garbage that, in my case, didn't even last 6 years (but did last a few weeks beyond the warranty which was up at five years--the Lennox Planned Obsolescence Bureau nailed this one!). Now, because my original icomfort thermostat's monitor has hit its planned obsolescence stage and is only showing a white screen, I need to pay $1000 to get a new thermostat (price of the thermostat plus professional installation) so I can use my expensive heat pump. It seems that Lennox's "top of the line" systems can only run with this type of thermostat . What a racket! Last Fall my then five year old heat pump needed its motor replaced. And now this! I mistakenly assumed the more expensive models would be more reliable and save me money in the long run. How naïve! Now I understand that Lennox assumes that if you're willing to pay for their more expensive models, that money is no object to you so they sell you stuff like this thermostat that are not build to last. I am really down on Lennox because of this experience.

    As a person who works in this business. I advise anybody to never buy this garbage. Way too unnecessary for a thermostat. It is just a sale to some guys. Don't buy into it

      Yes but... Some people don't have the option for other tstats. Like me having a 16 seer, variable speed unit. You can only use a communication tstat (which this is) so some people want to upgrade to a smart stat like myself and have no other option but these over priced communication stats. It sucks but that's how it works.

    Lennox is an unscrupulous company with severely and unjustifiably overpriced products with built-in obsolescence of their products just past the warranty date. They are the Pella Windows of HVAC. Three thumbs down.

    My S30 stopped working in March 2021. It refuses connect to WiFi. In fact it doesn't even see my WiFi network or any network for that matter. Broken after 2 1/2 years. Very poor design and poor quality. It's a shame, because on paper at least, it had some good features. I heard that Lennox already discontinued the S30.
    Conclusion: Dont buy Lennox.

      I had a call from Dave J. at Lennox this afternoon. He was very professional and very helpful. He says my S30 has had a hardware failure and should be replaced under warranty. I will contact my dealer to get that done.

    I just spent 193 dollars so 2 techs could learn to program my thermostat on my dime i am so pissed off !!!! I called tech support they only allow you to program so far, then you have to call a dealer to do what i could do myself and being put on hold on the phone while the clock ticking to do what i could do but icomfort wouldn't let you do it. no special tools no knowledge just have to have dealer tech do it and they didn't know anything except they cost money to call and do what i did and get put on hold but then was sent to the next lever of help from icomfort that they wouldn't send me to. i would never recommend Lennox just for this bone head move that i could have done.............
