The memories this is bringing back is awesome. When I was little we used to watch the haulers roll through our state to and from tracks and every now and then they'd stop at a gas station or liquor store or other parking lots and theyd bring the cars out and people would get to see them up close and personal. The day I saw Dale Jr's #8 car just chilling in the Best Buy parking lot is a day I will remember forever
How is the order of the convoy into the track set for the truck series and is it different to the cup? Points order? Previous year's standing? Been wanting to ask that question now for a couple videos but keep on forgetting.
The order is set by owners points and by team. So if your team mate is leading the points, and you're 5th in points, your team mate is first in, and you are second. Then the team who is second in points, and their teammates. Does that make sense? It's not complicated, but it's kinda tough to explain. To be honest, I don't know if Cup has the same routine or not. The last time I drove a Cup hauler was last season and it was by owner points.
I saw your Hood started coming up off the engine and was thinking to myself, this isn't going to end well but you got out and locked it down like the washers should have done. I'm just surprised that none of the other Haulers said anything to you about it on the CB
They were all in line. That's why it happened. I was the last to get washed and they (as well as myself) had to rush so I didn't miss my park slot. It was visible on camera before I could see it myself
@@MotorRacingNGravy i understand and I'm glad that you caught it and locked it down before an accident had occurred because of your hood not being secured. Good job taking care of it. Be safe out there Driver
@Bob-se1rr Yea, we don't want to spend any more time than we have to, and as a general rule, all the trucks go in together, and once EVERYONE is loaded (or unloaded) we all take off together,
It's so cool listening to the CB radios, enjoy seeing how the truckers work
Hell of a spotter for the parking. This was awesome to see
I put one out every week the trucks run

That's where my fascination first began
I was confused when you entered the track until I remembered it's irp not big indy
Yea. Just a tad smaller 🤣

@@MotorRacingNGravy Makes perfect sense, brother.
Fun and interesting channel. What team do you haul for?
Bret Holmes Racing in the Craftsman Truck Series
The hood blooper is funny. Thats interesting how they gotta park the haulers outside
Yea. It was funny bc I caught it before it flew all the way open and got torn up. 🤣

in situations where you have to park the hauler somewhere else do other team members have to help unpack more than usual?
They don't HAVE to. 🤣 But they are allowed to, and normally they would not be.
@@MotorRacingNGravy huh i would think they would considering you probably want to move the hauler as soon as you can

Are y'all going to be at Daytona ?
Not until February. We're in Milwaukee when Cup is in Daytona in August
Careful everyone! This is not IMS, this is Indianapolis Raceway Park!
The race fan in me likes IRP better... The crew member who's working these races likes IMS better 😏
