Great stuff, there is not so much info around an about this. The rubber seal looks very soft as new! I also would consider if the process should end on the middle of the upper edge or if it should end on one upper corner. This is because ending on the upper corner will make the glass to bend more if in combined curvature (not very easy to explain..)
Instead of removing the rear glass to install the spoiler, I simply removed the protruding fasteners on it then attached it to the car using RTV sealant. It looks great and been holding fast for over a decade without drilling holes which could be a source of water leakage and rust.
Awesome thanks, the seals do seem like the ones on my polo 86c so it's probably the exact same job. Gotta practise on my spare parts car first. Thank you again.
I did a whole 'How to' video showing mk2 and mk3 rear being done at a friends place in the UK. Unfortunately due to time and the Sun the all red tint does turn yellow/orange. They still don't look bad and a bit different.
Only thing I would have added to this is putting a rust prevention like wax oil around the channel, done to mine 14 years ago when it was rebuilt with no issues.

Yes it is the same style window rubber, like in this video, start from the top.
Hi,
Are those rear lights orange tops? Self tinted? Most of missed a video?
Cheers

I don't suppose the front windscreen is this easy too? Mine has a huge crack
The principal is the same, just maybe get a helping hand from a friend to do the front screen.

Thank you friend 👍🏼
Nice video
Thank you, I like your video friend 👍🏼
Okay wtf how is it so simple. Might just remove all the windows to fix all the rust and tint att the same time haha
Yep it isn't too bad of a job, if you can get a mate to help especially with the front screen will make life that bit easier.
