Hankook is a Korean company. The name “Hankook” is literal Korean word for Korea.

Hankook tire was being used for Jet Fiter F-5 E/F type (Nose laning gear tire) during 1982 ~ 1995.
I was handling with those one when I was in air force.

I used to maintain F5E/F jets for over fifteen years and have never seen or heard of the Hankook brand before...used Goodyears all the time as we used to fly in all weather conditions...Hankook....sorry used them before...not as good as the Sailun tyres.

Had Hankook tyres and Sailun atrezzo zsr tyres, and got about 2000kms more out of the Sailun tyres. Didint notice any handling difference in the wet or dry. Tried Michelin and Pirelli and barely got 10,000kms out of them. Sailun were $130, compared to $170 for the Hankook, and over $200 for the other 2.

I don't know about Hankook but Sailun is a dangerous tire.
I put them on Trans Am and first impression was good. But after two warm-ups it's like they were made of plastic and I drive that car only on dry road.

I had Michelin all seasons premium top of the line passager tires proudly made in CANADA.
      Haha!
Great famous performance with a big famous name.
      Everything went south👎👇
In only 3 1/2 years dry rots with only about several hundreds of fine cracks lines on all sidewalls of all 4 tires smiling at me.
Brought it back to COSTCO with its famous posted black and white powerful warranty behind their beans counter.
They blamed me for all the dry rots and all the sidewalls cracks. With a big no no instore warranty claim or adjustment.
They asked me a double sword question of " Do you use tire shine or not?"
      Guess what ?
      I said " YES".
He replied back " You shouldn't be supposed to be any tire shine or preservatives products ."
They give me Michelin's own representatives toll free number to deal with me.
The Michelin Co. representative tells me to go to one of their independent privately owned tire shop near me to get another evaluation.
Guess what? The same tire dressing question?
He ask me do I use any tire shine products again.
      I quickly realized it's a double-edged sword question.
If you use tire dressing products, it means you are using chemicals are a no-no for the Michelin tires.
If you said you don't use tire dressing products, which means you don't take care of your tires.
It ends up another no and forfeit warranty claim.
Then the Michelin tire rep, give me another tire shop located much farther away from this location for me to get another evaluation for warranty claim.
I realize this is just another RUNABOUT GAME Michelin played to F#*k me up to get rid of me from warranty claim.
No warranty claim on a 5 years FAMOUS Warranty.
I will never look at MICHELIN tires again after this HALL OF SHAME GAME 🎮 they played on consumers like me.

I went from Continental to Sailun's and I had the opposite thing happen, but then again I have been driving a Kia for 11 years so it's not like I need performance tires. Three of four Continental tires I had started seperating after only 17000 km's. I thought they were supposed to good tires.

As you said, you are a Seller of Tires, yet you don't Knew the Original producers of Tires you're Selling.. most esp; known Brands.. HANKOOK & KUMHO Tires were Solely Produce and Manufactured only in Korea.. Not like other known Branded Tires allowing other countries to produce their Branded Tires compromising Their Branded Names with Low Quality products produces in other countries, because of Cheaper Quality of Materials & Labor Costs to compete with Average Costs & Quality of Original Asian Brands produces..

HANKOOK KINERGY ..Tested and Proven.. even at a very low inflate pressure for about a Kilometer trip to refill, the sidewall never crack, slump, still stay as original till I filled it up.. Just regularly keep visual checking for the Alignment, Tire Condition and Random with Balancing and Pressure..

Hankooks new Kinergy line is coming out of Tennessee...just an FYI. But I'll agree on one thing, Sailun is an up and comer, exceeding expectations in the economy all season ultra touring and summer touring segments. We sell hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of the Atrezzo quarterly here in Arizona because it has grown to become a reputable tire for it's price point. They ride comfortably enough for a tire designed for handling, the sidewall isn't Rock solid as one would find In a hankook ventus or BFG sportcomp, and customers see a fair amount of miles per dollar spent. Averaging 40-50k if the car is In good mechanical standing. So if you're on a budget, it's a good bang for the buck. That said, I'd still spend the extra 10-20 dollars per tire for a Hankook, Nitto, or even Pirelli in regards to my driving habits, and their outstanding record in safety.

In Canada hankook are 20 cad per tire more expensive than Sailun. That's 80 dollars savings per four tires. So I buy Sailun

Nexens are a tad ahead of Sailun given their now being sold as a O.E.M tire on a lot of Kia's. But out of personal experience, I see more Nexens fail than Sailuns out here in the southwest. Neither of which ever see anything close to the desired mileage.

Having spent years in the wholesale tire business, selling everything from motorcycle to car to industrial tires (American, European, Asian), I can say this. Quality control on the Asian brands was good. Out of round and balance often better than brands like BFG, Uniroyal, etc. But wet traction was horrible. Anyone can make a tire that sticks to a road. All you need is Rubber! It's making a tire that grips a wet road that requires Engineers and Chemists. Don't listen to a guy trying to sell his brand. Find a review where different tires are tested back to back. You will see that the Chinese and other generic no name brands aren't even in the same league on a rainy day.
