Before that, he sang opera on the streets of N.O., mainly on Royal St. in the Fr. Qtr. He was still studying music at UNO when he began performing on the street. I first met him over ten yrs ago when he was singing in front of a friend's antiques gallery on Royal, at that time wearing evening attire & a top hat. Later he began singing in front of another friend's gallery at Royal & St. Ann (where this video was made, looking down St. Ann toward Jackson Sq.), where he performed for several years. Marshall is a very nice person as well as a wonderful singer. Before the pandemic I'd run into him occasionally as he headed to sing on Royal St. He had been in Boston for a few years but would often return to N.O. An incredible voice! Several years ago he was enlarging his repertoire by learning more German opera, having mastered Italian.
This performance is incredible I wish I could of been there for this command performance and he sings with so much ease a star is born and people walk on by doing their boring chores, can you all imagine him on a opera stage with thousands of people sitting quietly and just hearing him sing through a microphone with great acoustic 😊🥰 who ever you are that filmed this and uploaded his performance thank you I love him and his beautiful voice God bless.
