That's an impressive collection of Video Nasties there Tim, very cool stuff. I've learned quite a bit about the Nasties over the years from a few other TH-camrs from the UK, and a lot of the stories behind that period of time is pretty fascinating. The law about VHS stores and their owners and employees getting prosecuted for having those titles was just insane, I couldn't believe those people got treated like criminals. Even back in the day that must've felt too extreme. I've heard of the majority of the films on the lists, but haven't seen any of them to be honest, just not my cup of tea. The cannibal themed films are debatable as some did go to unnecessary extremes, hiding behind the right of artistic freedom, but it's still an objective grey area mainly. Faces of Death I too can understand why the censors didn't want shown as it was pretty much a piece of true shameless exploitation with shock for the sake of it as the primary goal. Fulci's Horror films and the original Evil Dead are a little too gross for my own taste, but as the majority of them were meant to be surreal with a morbid dreamlike quality, I'm still scratching my head at who thought those films would lead to public endangerment. The New York Ripper I could understand as it is grounded in reality, and, to paraphrase another TH-camr, does boarder on a kind of brutality that Fulci plays like performance art. A good chunk of those films do feel like they shouldn't have been on any of the lists as even back in the day they didn't take too much too far. It's best to remember the Video Nasties were a product of a different era but does need to be remembered so something like it doesn't happen again and future filmmakers won't have to go to court to defend their rights to be creative. Take care my friend, hope you're well, Happy New Year, and speak to you soon.
@tvnash Thank you a lot my friend, you always leave the most epic, informative, knowledgeable comments. Appreciate you taking the time to write such crafted essays my friend. Gotta check out your recent videos, really busy recently
Amazing collection Tim I need to catch up more on the video nasties there’s only a handful from this list that I’ve seen but love the collection. I agree with you about the score for Cannibal Holocaust, it’s absolutely beautiful and makes the film for me to be honest. The Stars in their Eyes reference 😂😂😂 Great video 🙏🏻😃
@JodiesMovieRealm Thank you Jodie, the soundtrack to Cannibal Holocaust is beautiful yet works with the on screen violence. Ha, happy someone remembers Stars In Their Eyes

Great collection of video nasties mate There is so many to collect in section 1 and 2 and 3 I love that dvd of evilspeak, it's my favourite of artwork, better than the blu ray. My favourite number 1 nasty is zombie flesh eaters The Thing should have never been on the nasties list, it's too well made. Cheers Tim
@Paul-g4l Thank you Paul, agree with all of your points. Zombie Flesh Eaters is so well done. The Thing was caught up in the furore though undeservedly so imo
Cool collection pal! So many of my all time favourites there. Too many to name but love Deep Red, Zombie, cannibal holocaust,The Beyond, The Evil Dead, living dead at the Manchester morgue, TCSM, The Thing!!! The list goes on… 👍
@ I’ve got quite a few of them on vhs but actually have more on dvd&blu ray and multiple editions, as I’ve been collecting since those formats came out. But with this channel I’ve decided to stick to showing my old tapes. I was a big collector of 📼 throughout the whole 90’s until I switched to dvd.
Love the burning 👍🏻 obviously i love the original evil dead 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 yes i prefer Day of the dead 👍🏻 its my favourite out of the dead films , good video mate 👍🏻
it's great to see your nasty collection grow Tim. I'm sure you'll succeed in acquiring the full list of the "section 3" and "dpp 39" titles eventually mate!
@joshfulcifan1015 Thank You Joshua, yep gonna get them all eventually. Think Hell Of The Living Dead is the other title I was thinking of. You gonna purchase Don't Torture A Duckling on 4K from Arrow Video? Take care pal
@@timcole418 I already have the old Arrow Blu ray from "Don't Torture A Duckling", and not in any hurry to upgrade as it's a very impressive release, but maybe eventually - I have so many other titles to grab. I plan to order Slave Of The Cannibal God 4K from Severin USA soon, and also a really cool Novelization of Hell OTLD. Really excited for those Tim. Any way, let me know when you watch your DVD-r of Flesh - Eaters - the print in my opinion is a very "retro" experience. Ahh. by the way - received Dawn Of The Mummy Blu ray today - had waited for that release for months!
@joshfulcifan1015 oh, don't blame you there Joshua. Pointless upgrading if you have it on a good print matey. Sounds like you've got some good titles on order. Dawn Of The Mummy is a beautiful set sith lovely artwork. Watched it and enjoyed it, some good gore and set design in the pyramid, good special features especially the segment on Mummy films through the years, really insightful
Great collection matey.. yes Nightmare in a Damaged Brain got a UK blu ray release on the Slasher Classics label 😎👍 Hadn't realised that Living Dead at Manchester Morgue was an Anchor Bay so going to have to keep an eye out for that one for my AB collection lol
@XFile2708 Thank you Marcus, think you showed Nightmare In A Damaged Brain on your video. If an upgrade comes out on The Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue the Anchor Bay copy is yours matey
