Alright... the "Petco aquarium" in this video is an Aqueon brand and the "Petsmat aquarium" is a Visio brand. Aqueon has a solid built and the frame is one piece to help hold the glasses together. It is built with the best silicone I know and they are square and the seams are fairly nice and clean. The Visio brand has that separated frame and it is not made for safety and to secure the glasses together, but more to help the edges and corners during transport, I would say. The Visio tanks aren't put together with much efforts to make it square and many times you see them with that sloppy job on the seals. Visio tanks are well known to leak, and you can search that online, if you don't believe me. That is the main reason why I bought the Aqueon instead of the Visio. The Visio comes with the lids, but you can get good quality Aqueon lids, if you want. I'm about to get a 210 gallon and will choose Aqueon again. I loved the 180 gallon measurements of the Visio I saw at the local pet shop, but again, that tank doesn't give me any confidence. The side glass was so badly placed that I could see a bit of the bottom glass on the side under the silicone!!! I'm just putting some info here to help those who are searching to see what would be the best overal. I wish someone did that for me when I was looking for my 75gal!
I've heard multiple reports about Aqueon tanks leaking now. I have the 75-gallon, and the brace started to slowly leak. Every time I use the wet vac, it comes back again. I already spoke to the warranty department and explained it to them.
@@anthonyrivera7264 The "brace"? We call bracing the plastic that holds the top and the bottom of the tank. Mainly the top. Braces don't leak, they could crack though. In many cases I had removed their top braces and substituted by Euro bracing myself. Have Aqueon for so many years and still going. Just got a 210 and a 60 gallon tanks from them. Basically all my tanks that came with bracing are from Aqueon or the old Marineland. Best aquariums I've ever dealt with. You will find exceptions in everything that is master produced in this life, but for a brand with such a presentable price, they are amazing. I've been making aquariums since 30+ years and can tell you they have a superb product for what they ask.
They are made at the same factory on the same assembly line. Just different stickers and packaging. I would know, I work for the company who makes these. When ever a big box store places a order, we just package it with the correct brand packaging and send it off.
I ended up buying both and they both are doing great!! Pros and cons: The one from Pet smart: came with lid and light. But lid is heavy and the black seam that holds the layers of glass together broke. Petco: you have to buy the lid & light separately and you buy two lids nice cause easy to clean and light weight still intact not broken

I go to petco ..both holds water and the petco one is lighter imo
