    I'm 67 years old and my therapist recommended this for me and I purchased one and does indeed help, though for some people like myself, it took a month or so. I was doing it for 15 mins a day, 4-5 days a week. I have been without tingling down my arm now for a few weeks. I do a maintenance approach now with just a few times a week. My insurance would not help with the cost sadly. I recommend this highly. Thanks for the video..

    I have been using this machine for 3 months with since sept w tingling, headaches, 3 slipped discs c5-7 heavily degenerated, bone spurs. It was a slow process of 2x a day for 20 minutes in the device. Started at low pressures around 15-18 then over 3 months have been able to tolerate 35lbs to 40 now and its like hardly anything now. This was against most therapists recc's by the way but I am glad I pushed for higher pressures over time. Neck feels close to brand new. It definitely causes some remodeling at the higher pressures and I cannot wait to get x rays because mine were horrid. Best of luck.

    Great Video. I use this in my practice, but we do not keep the patient on the targeted tension for the full treatment time. We hold the tension/traction for max 2 minutes and then release slowly for 30 seconds. So in a 15 minute session we would do about 6 cycles of 2 minute tractions at the specified tension. The evidence suggests that this creates pressure differentials and facilitates the transfer of fluid dynamics into the disc and help retract it away from effacing the nerve root affected. When keeping the patient on stretch/tension for the entire 15 minutes you are at risk of causing reflex inhibition within the muscles spindles especially where there is shortened/stiff soft tissues.

      I think you are right. I feel like it’s worse when I hold too long because my neck is as stiff as a pole.

    FYI, this unit is really good and very similar to an actual traction device. The air does dissipate slowly over a few minutes which is a nice feature. I found a very clean unit on the bay for around $100!

    I bought my Saunders Neck Traction from eBay. It was gently used and were available around $150.00. Seller's regularly will send a message with a lowered price if you put the item in your watch list. My Doctor did approve this.

    Also it's best to emulate what the automatic unit does at the PT office which is going about 5 minutes, releasing the air, and repeating about 5 times.

    I live in SE Florida. The physical equipment supplier no longer would fill prescriptions for a Saunders Traction unit. The owner said it was hard for him to get the Medicare Equipment to cover the item. So I found a gently used one on eBay. 125 - 150 was the average price for a used unit. I do have to set it up for use on the floor and not my bed. I am having a flare up. I use heat before then use traction for 10 minutes. Decompression should be slow. Then I ice my neck.

    Could you please make a video about meniscus tears in the knee? If there is a natural treatment or strengthening exercises to heal without surgery, how to heal a grade three meniscus tear for both the external and internal menisci. Thank you very much.

    Thermotex makes an FAR Neck unit. It may seem pricey at $200 +. But I have a Thermotex Platinum for my lower back. I tried using it for my C4 - C7 degeneration. It does radiate the infrared heat to the neck and shoulder area. It was not enough for this flare up. I just got my neck unit today. The company is in Canada. Overnight delivery is possible if purchased before 1:00pm. I have been on narcotics for years for other problems. I am allergic to Neurontin. My hands ballooned up. I was seeing a Physatrist. He ignored my hand swelling. That was an obvious sign of an allergic reaction. The dude ignored my hands. Said I was uncooperative. Would not continue seeing me. I luckily had a good Rheumatologist. Finding a good physician can all the difference.

    This doesn't work if you already have weakened/injured cervical spine ligaments, instability in the joints, chronic muscle tension from the injured ligaments, and nerve irritations. You need to address these factors before applying decompression.

    I’ve watched many of your video regarding cervical stenosis. In one you your previous videos you reference the case of Ashley Caldwell’s cervical disc bulge healing over 6 months. I’m wondering if this was one of the treatments used in her case? And if so what other treatments were used in addition? Thanks

    As the head is pulled away from the shoulders, are you relying on bodyweight alone to secure the body in a fixed position while the device does its work?

    Ive always needed a ZERO DEGREE traction but stupid companies dont make it!!! They only make one size fits all tractions and not for RARE spines like mine!
    Ive done 10 to 20 degrees but it doesn't straighten C1 and C2 pathologies and abnormalities even middle neck thats stuck that way due to a really steep C7 T1 angle.. Mine needs zero degree traction to straighten my CT junction angle to fix my neck and thats caused from 76 degree kyphosis plus T1 thru T5 is translated to the left laterally, it jacks up my 1st rib and shoves it against the shoulder, maybe wedge shaped T1 thru T3 and some wedge shaped neck bones which means my neck could never come back to normal lordosis??

    • @eemerald2323
      @eemerald2323 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Its just so hard because doctors dont know all this stuff i know about my own body. They never bothered to do full spine xrays and measure cobb angles, draw lines on the xrays and just so much stuff they missed. It wasn't until i found a special corrective chiropractor that finally took postural full spine xrays to show me every thing except for it didnt show my T1 thru T3 if those are wedge shaped.. The ones lower down are clearer and show some wedging it looks like. But that chiro didnt work out, they just didnt understand me and thought they were doing the correct treatment for me. I tried to challenge the treatment and they didnt like it.. Every patient should be challenging their doctor! Doctors would only do neck xrays for years rather than do full spine which showed my back is what was CAUSING my neck problems but Doctors were too blind for that!! 😭😭
