Yooo, I have this same lappy and tried installing an extra 8gb ram, and pretty sure I did it right, but it didn't register the extra ram when I checked. I've never attempted this before then. Trying to redo it asap.
@@drylakedrummer yea so sometimes it's jsut that there's dust on the contact area, sometimes you just need to clean it, otherwise you can also put the ram in and wiggle it around a bit to wear int he contact pad area. If nothing works then it's probably just that the dimm slot is faulty

What ever mhz you put its going to decrease the output to 2600mhz as this is supported only. Dual channel keep similar ram configuration.
