I have them in 54 and 58 and there’s a big difference in how smooth they feel on rough surfaces, to the point I kinda prefer the 58’s. I’m turning 40 next year. So maybe bigger and softer wheels are a sign you’re in the old man skate club. Because I also have 59mn Bones ATF’s and love those too
Seems like a decent wheel. I've been riding the 56mm X-Formula 97 wheels with Bronson Raws and hands down the best combo I've ever ridden!! Which is strange because I've never really liked Bones wheels. I always flat spot O.J.'s, I chunk Spitfires but I've been on the X-FORMULA's for about 3 months and absolutely no flat spots and no chunks at all!! Not the greatest on rough ground. But still pretty decent. They slide great!! And still have great impact protection for my old legs and back LOL!!🤘🛹🛹🤘
try the soft sliders ! the feel like the x formula in the park but way smoother and less vibration on rough stuff - I did a full review on my channel as well 🤙🏼🛹
@@likeSK8 thank you for your suggestion. I've been thinking about trying them for a little while now. My buddy got the 58 mm radials and loves them. The only reason I've shied away from them is because I have a bad history of chunking spitfires.
Great video brother 👍 👌 I really dig the little add on to the video, like the cleaning of the bearings. I'm interested in these wheels and thanks for hill bombing and skating over the crusty parts that's my kinda skate preference. This review was detailed and I appreciate it. Stay rad always
great review 🤙🏼 pretty close to how I felt and what I talked about in my review as well - try em in the mini ramp I liked the way they felt there a lot too - great EVERYWHERE wheel ! 🔥🔥🔥
I’d be curious to try these for sure. I’ve been underwhelmed with the dragons (I have em on my big shaped board set up). I’d got them for skating curbs, but find that they catch and stick on slappy noselsides and crooks and just sorta kill the curb sesh. I can do those tricks but not nearly as well as on my spitfire formula fours. Even coming in hot the noseslide or crooks screech to a halt quick. I always go back to the formula four conical full. But I do like just riding with the dragons. If these 93a spitfires don’t catch like the dragons on slappy noselsides and crooks I could be very hyped.
Also, always love watching you skate. You always mention not having a huge bag, but your style is awesome - and that is way more important I think. You always make skating look fun.
That was actually the main takeaway! They don't seem to stick as easily as the dragons do, they feel more like a park wheel so I think you might be in good shape!
@@radoldrat X99 come in the basic bones shapes. X97 and X99 are not dragon (dragons are 93) they are a little harder. If you want a wide one go with Powell Nano Cubics. They are 97.
@@AdventuresInSkateboarding lol I almost feel like I missed the days where wheels just came down to size 🤣🤣. I appreciate the help my man! Stay rad! 🛹🐀
@@radoldrat I've only heard good things about the 97 formula! And because of it's shape I've been digging a little into freestyle too, like rail stands and wall rides
Awesome video as always brother but if I could give some constructive criticism? You gotta get rid of the annoying music loop you got going in all your videos its too repetitive lol. 👊
Unreal review. Everything I needed but nothing I didn’t. I was legit so curious about these compared to Dragons. Thank you !
Thank you! 🙏🛹🐀

Killer video. Always glad to see you drop new videos. Later on man !

What a difference a nice set of wheels can make. Great review. Shred on
Couldn't agree more! I worked in a shop for years and would always encourage parents not to cheap out on wheels!

Great review bro I'll probably wait for the price to come down a bit, before I buy some
Good call my man and thank you!! 🛹🐀
You can still find a few of those sets around. The David gravette 97 you can get in a 55 mm wide cut.
Awesome thank you!

So the set that I found are 56 mm wide cuts and they're pretty wide.
Try Skates USA. I just got my second set from them the other day. And they still had the 56 mm.
Appreciate you!! 💪😤

I really want to try them, but everyone says they're harder/louder than the Dragons. 😅
I can agree with that. They're definitely harder and louder than the dragons.
cool review and I liked the music

@@radoldrat that's cool did you see the "final tony hawk" part, the tapes you leave behind? music reminded me of that.

George Powell leads, everybody else follows.
