I think Stirgil Simpson has become my new favorite singer! I love his style! I've been a Hank Jr fan my entire life, but Stirgil is taking the crown for me!

Just another reason to go back to vinyl. Not only do you get that warm analog playback, you're also likely to listen to the full album and hear the songs in the context that the artist intended. Yeah, I can be just as lazy as the next guy and telling Alexa to play a certain song is a nice convenience. But put on Hank's "Ramblin' Man" or Merle's "Big City" and you'll get more than just a story...you'll get a saga. :-)
@David Emswiler And The Who’s “Tommy” and Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon,” which were my first and second introductions to concept albums. Concept albums are bold projects and likely not very easy to pull off.
@@RockN2Country I actually had to Google what a "concept album" was. :-) I tend to take all albums as a painting of a bigger picture whether it was the artist's original intent or not. But yes, those were some good albums you recommended especially for those who just want a little more!
You have to listen to the entire album. This is just one piece of the story. The album is 1 full story. If you love how western this sounds listen to the entire album, it's a treat
Great song. I loved "High Top Mountain" and "Metamodern Sounds" but was not a fan of "Sailor's Guide to Earth" I'll have to check out the most recent album

Check out his cuttin grass double albums where he rerecorded songs from all 3 of those albums as bluegrass songs.
Now I have to find the album and listen to the end to see if he gets her back!
