I don't know if it its wuxia style but the only game like this was a ps2 game called bujingai man I loved that game my older brother put me on to it a few yrs ago
I love raw game play, all the slip ups, locking onto the wrong guy, and trying over and over to use the pillar to fight the boss. It gives a better feel of the game then perfect, no hit footage
Just totally different titles man they both look awesome but I can agree wukong has some of the cleanest most satisfying combat of any game to date that’s single player it’s incredible how fluid it all feels especially with the way the dodging mechanic is the parry system I don’t think people understand the coding that had to go into making that system flow this well with every boss, each perfect dodge on every boss places you where you need to be for a follow up hit making the flow of the fight more based on timing then anything which makes it feel more fluid, less to think about more time to perfect your run and makes getting a boss after a few consecutive dodges feel incredibly satisfying

@animegtrailer5208 Well When it comes to graphics Black myth indeed is the best looking game in the world. Doesn't mean i can't enjoy other games, when i finish Wukong i will be back to play Nioh 2 and Wo Long which are known to have outdated graphics.
I tried it on gamescom. Was nice to play. Just a bit dark. Could be a bit more positive from the colors. But that is just my personal preference and I only played the demo.
People comparing this in any way to wukong are delusional this is an entirely different art style game style and game design on a different engine, they couldn’t be further from each other besides the soundtracks

If the movement and gameplay is truly this fluid.. oh my days this and wukong will be some of the greatest releases in years, that being said it also depends on how great the Storyline is for this game.
I think the wuxia style is an interesting way to take soulslikes because it's kinda an inverse of the usual narrative where you're "regular ass dude who fights the bad decrepit versions of legendary warriors so you stand a chance" and ends up becoming "you're very strong; you're just against people who are a bazillion times stronger", Wukong was able to demonstrate that pretty well by giving you the invincibility if you used a heavy attack timed to an enemy attack and completely interrupting them, effectively robbing their turn along with things like immobilize. I hope this game has just enough tools to similarly display power over the enemies.
@@andrewpo_69 I wouldn't say better. Thats a stretch. However if the combat is more extensive, intense and fluid I'm down for that. I did not like the spirit limitations in Sekiro. It could have been perfect instead it was just great.

This game looks good but whoever is playing the demo needs to learn the controls, there must be a block or dodge button. I'm sure they got it right eventually. After black Myth Wukong these new games better come good, souls like or not
This looks amazing since day one. But if I had to do some nitpicking - it really bothers me the commands of Triangle and X appearing on screen. They should put visual queues instead of the commands itself - to me, it breaks the immersion and I feel too guided. But again - Loving what I see and I will for sure buy it - its just a nitpick.
I've been waiting so long for Wuxia style combat to be a mainstream thing outside of China. The Chinese devs are frickin' going in.
