I love how Pittsburgh is so used to seeing giant, fluffy and scaly animals scurrying around the streets during the summer time. I can just imagine waking up one day, opening the window, and once I see animals walking around, I'll immediately think, "It's that time of the year again!"
As someone who lives in Pennsylvania, I’m so glad Anthrocon has opened back up. We haven’t had an event like this and years, and eventually I hope to take part of the event with my own handmade suit

I went to Anthrocon for the weekend because a friend went and i included it into my vacation in PA thinking "oh a furry convention, might as well..." and now i REALLY want to go back because it was the best convention i ever went to. The block party was a HUGE success in my opinion, it was fun, colorful and wholesome because civilians and furries could interact with each other and while i liked them before i absolutely LOVE furries now. The convention center is absolutely stunning btw. and i loved the view from the roof area. I had a great time in Pittsburgh and i'm super in love with the city now. Greetings from Germany

One of the big selling points of this con is that it's one of the only ones where their presence isn't just tolerated, but openly embraced by the city (local businesses have themed specials and the fursuit parade actually goes onto city streets; new for this year, they also had a "block party" where the public could interact with fursuiters after the parade).

I love how Pittsburgh is so used to seeing giant, fluffy and scaly animals scurrying around the streets during the summer time. I can just imagine waking up one day, opening the window, and once I see animals walking around, I'll immediately think, "It's that time of the year again!"

Pittsburgh really is the best choice for an event of such a grand scale. The culture, the art, the friendly faces! Way to go CBS-Pittsburgh, you've most definitely earned some fans in our community with such a great and positive report!
I went to Anthrocon for the weekend because a friend went and i included it into my vacation in PA thinking "oh a furry convention, might as well..." and now i REALLY want to go back because it was the best convention i ever went to. The block party was a HUGE success in my opinion, it was fun, colorful and wholesome because civilians and furries could interact with each other and while i liked them before i absolutely LOVE furries now. The convention center is absolutely stunning btw. and i loved the view from the roof area. I had a great time in Pittsburgh and i'm super in love with the city now.

I love how much respect Pittsburgh has for the furries. It makes me very happy.
I love how enthusiastic they looked and the fact that they didn't say anything bad. Three months ago in Spain on a serie that shows and describes to people actual things they started calling furries as a "Plague from the USA".
Anthrocon works overtime to maintain good relations with the city, and it pays off. One of the big selling points of this con is that it's one of the only ones where their presence isn't just tolerated, but openly embraced by the city (local businesses have themed specials and the fursuit parade actually goes onto city streets; new for this year, they also had a "block party" where the public could interact with fursuiters after the parade).

I'd love to live in USA or at least UK, because I have a pretty good English, and there are a much bigger amount of Furcons than in Spain (There's only one, and I can't go because I wouldn't still be old enough). Those two are always so exited when anthrocon kicks in, like it’s that one little celebration of the small town that everyone knows about, and everytime it’s “the time” all of the town including mayor is preparing for it. Like in paw patrol or something
Side note about the tails: Don't pull them because the suits and tails are pretty expensive, and you could accidentally damage it! These costumes cost a lot and take a lot of time, so if you ever see one of us PLEASE ask before you hug, touch, or physically interact.

Wow I’m a young fur and I’m so excited to go to anthrocon and I love this community and if I ever have grandkids kids or if eny of my family has kids when I get older I will teach then about furrys anthrocon and more and if they end up becoming a furry I will help them through bully’s and making there fursonas and well I’m just glad I’m in this amazing community.

After all the hateful lies being spread about our community, it's a huge relief to just see mainstream media cover us here in the furry fandom honestly. We're all just nerds in the end and last I checked being nerdy is mainstream and the world runs on nerds, especially the internet. Here's hoping that someday I go to a furry convention with some who in the fandom who I can become friends with.
