Wow, beautiful! And such a nice reason behind this practice. Thank you for sharing this, inspiring :) For some reason the shadow-focused one at 11:23 is my favorite. I really love the vibe with those colors.
Same!! A lot of times I like to do sketches with just the shadows sometimes the light and shadows. It helps visualize a composition better especially when one of the main elements will be that light!
@@mwittart You're welcome! I just found your page.....your style and ideas are similar to mine.....only better and more refined. I look forward to learning from you!
Hey! Yes! I really just made it up, but to me I share a lot of my art online including my sketchbook. I make a lot of process videos of my sketches which takes me out of the moment of creating and it makes me think about creating for an audience rather than creating for myself. So, I tried last year to keep a sketchbook that I wouldn’t share online so I could just focus on the process and see where my art takes me. I hope that explains it better!
Very inspiring. Really new to sketching and I really enjoyed your flip through. Excellent shadowwork and I really like your choice of colors. Will follow 🙂
Wow your handling of light and shadows is amazing. Just to add…. I’m not a fan of Moleskine either.
Ahhh I’ve found my anti-moleskine people! I used to love it but I feel like the quality has gone down.
👌 Me too - I find Moleskine paper dulls the colours. That said, you have some really lovely spreads in it. 😊

At 11:53 when she painted the shadows it was almost like the sun was moving in the sky, getting lower as shadows got longer
Very inspiring!
Thank you!!
Love your shadows and the horizontal panorama of your neighborhood. Plus your TH-cam honesty:)

Thank you for sharing. I loved your house paintings. Your trees are wonderful.
Thank you so much! I’m really working on improving my trees. They seem so simple but are so complex!
You gave such an essential insight in the process, thank you 🍀

Can I ask what is a social media sketchbook?

That is good advice 👍😊
