    I love how you had to give a disclaimer after every part of your PC 😂 I used to run a 1050TI which lagged around 1000 guests on medium settings.. moved up to a 1070TI recently and it's handling people better. Then again... I mostly play on creative so I can turn off the guests 😅

    I used an alienware 8gb ram, nvidia 970 when i started PZ, worked well with super-minimum low cartoon-ish graphics. But now I'm on 32gb ram , rtx 3060 ti and LOVING IT. so yeah, the difference between both performance is real.

      @Leichtskorpion - Which version of the Steamdeck do you have? Ive been told that Planet Zoo won't run very well on a Steamdeck? But that seems a good option to go for as I don't use a PC?

    I'm using an AMD 7 7800x3d and RTX 4070TI and the game plays amazingly. I currently have about 25 exibits, 3000 is guests and zero lag, once in a while I'll get some screen stutter when moving the camera to fast.

    Coincidentally, I have an NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti for a GPU. xD Along with an AMD Ryzen 3 2300X Quad Core for a CPU & 16GB RAM.
    Maybe a lil bit lacking tbh- only got this setup to run basic VR in the first place. Runs most games well enough for me though. The only thing I've noticed is that my game briefly stutters when zeroing on an animal if I have more than a few exhibits, but the game also decided to default at max graphics so alas. Glad to know the graphics can be changed without being a major disappointment to the gameplay though!
    This whole setup was 'round $700 total, minus the upgrade to the GTX 1660 Ti and the additional 8 RAM... when I get a job again I am 100% gonna see about investing in a heftier graphics card. >->;

    I’m not a very techie person at all! A lot of this stuff was, exactly like you said, reading an alien language for me 😂
    When my dad would upgrade his computer he would pass down his old one to my brother and then my brother would give me his old one so I never really concerned myself with computer stuff 🫣
    Now my husband is the one who helps me with all this stuff! He actually has to remind me to up my settings in games because my computer can handle them and I don’t need to leave them on the default 😂

    Hi Pawsbuild! I am going to buy a gaming computer, but I am struggeling with what monitor to buy. I do photo editing as a photographer, and want something that works for that, in addition to playing games. Is 60 hz enough for planet zoo?

  • @alexandrac2472

    I use Nvidia GeForce Now to host the game. I tend to get really into games for a month or so and then lose interest. So when I'm really into Planet Zoo I pay to get the premium service over the free.
    My laptop was just not able to play it unfortunately.

    • @PawsBuild
      @PawsBuild  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes GeForce Now is cool I used that a while back when it first came out and seems a good system (if you have good wifi). That’s the problem I think is a lot of people have laptops without a dedicated graphics card and want to play the game as they’ve seen it on YT and it’s quite graphically demanding so they then can’t get the same experience unfortunately 😕

    • @Silkencira1710

    Thanks for the info ! Very helpful. I know I need to upgrade mine but it can get really overwhelming. 😅I currently have an intel core i3-9100f which I know I need upgrading for sure. And a nvidia ge force green 1060. I have enough ram so think it’s just those two I need upgrading, anything you’d recommend or just what’s been said in the video? 🙂

    • @PawsBuild
      @PawsBuild  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s so hard to say because every person has a different opinion on what ‘acceptable’ is for playing a game (remembering my childhood playing video games on a laptop that was molten hot with the fans screaming at me thinking ‘this is fine’ 😂) but the problem you often find with intel cpus is that if you upgrade them you need to upgrade the motherboard too as the new cpu isn’t compatible with your old motherboard, and then if you upgrade the motherboard you then have to upgrade the ram as it’s not compatible and you end up with a whole new pc that costs you twice as much as your original budget 😂🙈 it is SO overwhelming and the terrible names of parts do not help at all! As a general rule for smooth gameplay in good graphics I’d go with my recommendation in the video but obviously it’s a subjective choice and you might be able to find some tech TH-camrs who talk a bit more about what different PCs can handle across different games 😊 I’m sorry that’s quite a vague answer there are just so many things that go into it and I’d hate to recommend you something that’s more expensive than what you need and you spend your hard-earned cash on it 🙈

    • @Beeeatle
      @Beeeatle ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PawsBuild thank you for taking time to reply! it is very overwhelming that's for sure and I'll definitely be doing my research! only really noticed week before last that my fans were going nuts when playing planet zoo then checked everything then realizing that things might need upgrading 😭😂 so you video was a perfect timing!

    Are your recommendations the minimum that you need to run the game normally or are the graphics quite good with those specs on the pc?

    • @PawsBuild
      @PawsBuild  ปีที่แล้ว

      My recommendations are for running the game with pretty much max graphics settings you can 100% run it on way less than what I’ve set out - I just know that most people want to max out the game to see the animals in as much detail as possible 😊 not necessary though as hopefully is clear from my video, the game looks great in Low settings in my opinion 👍

      I do agree it’s a demanding game on your system but honestly once my zoos get to that size there is so much upkeep involved I want to start fresh anyway so has never bothered me that much if the FPS drop 👍 I do think GPU impacts a lot of people’s experience though as it is fairly graphically demanding (not poorly optimised Ray-Tracing levels of demanding) but still demanding for those without high-end GPUs if you’re trying to run the game on max settings (which I think most people want to)😊
