Newcastle also share with an RL team, the Newcastle Thunder. Also London Broncos used to play at the stoop, along with half of the other stadiums inside the M25
Do they play Rugby 🏉 at Anfield ? If they don't I don't get you.I can name scores of stadiums better than Ashton Gate.Even in the Championship ,The City Ground ,Hillsborough, The Riverside ,to name a few.
Nice ground Ashton Gate . Don’t know about Hillsborough. Must say I prefer Brammall Lane . Forest is not Bad . One stand apart . St Andrews too , is a decent ground . The Hawthorns decent .
I went to Ashton Gate last week. I can confirm it is a stunning stadium and is very much a mini Anfield, just without the same view from the top of the Main Stand as Anfield. The roof is low in the Main Stand at Ashton Gate so you can't see the cityscape. From the South Stand, you can see the Clifton Suspension Bridge when the trees blocking the view have lost their leaves during the winter.
About the Exeter Chiefs stadium, The stand opposite the main stand has now been knocked down to build it up like the grandstand opposite, then they are moving on to the north and south stands to match them in, once the hotel behind the stadium has been finished
Also as part of the plans they intend on putting in a conferencing facility similar to what Wasps have once they have completed the stand on the Southern end .
Fun fact about the AJ Bell stadium - the reasons for the poor attendances for both the Sharks and the Red Devils are due to the stadium not being anywhere near Sale (and barely near Salford), being a pain in the ass to drive to and park on matchdays (it's easier to park at the shopping centre and walk 10 minutes across various main roads) ... and the fact that it's located NEXT TO A SEWAGE PLANT! You even show this at 8:30 on the left hand side - sometimes the whole place stinks of crap. Literal crap! That definitely doesn't help attendance figures.
Man, you put out some great vids and I love watching them but some of your subs can be pretty bossy by telling you what to cover next. I’m just waiting on that Mongolian Premier League stadium overview 🇲🇳
Saracens are building a new west stand which will raise their capacity to about 12,000. The seating areas are open but the stand will not be fully operational until September.
I live about 15 minutes walk away from the Ricoh - sorry, the Coventry Building Society Arena. Sometimes it takes a little longer, as there are two breweries close by.
That sounds interesting. I imagine great soccer stadiums, but rather small rugby venues. Post CoVid, hope Argentine rugby finds good club competitions nationally and internationally after Super Rugby. A global sport needs good rugby around the world. Hopefully along with second tier European nations Uruguay are marked for development.
Gloucester's stadium is known among fans as "Castle Grim". My understanding of the reasons for this is because the land the stadium was on was owned by the Castle Grim estate before the Club purchased it.
Been to the football stadiums that are used for rugby . And I think Ashton Gate is a cracking ground & to be fair I like the Ricoh arena too . Enjoyed video & have visited some of the grounds mentioned . I. E Welford Road , en route to the king power stadium .
I don’t think he’s going to do regional leagues in the north of England with a tiny Catalan presence stickin out just yet. Likely wants to do national ones first.
There's such a disparity in stadium seating capacities between two of England's national sports. While on that note, such disparity also exists between the clubs' home grounds and Twickenham. Whilst in football, many stadiums rival Wembley in seating capacity. I wonder why.
Slightly different, but Could we have a video on the National Stadiums of the Rugby Tier 1 Nations, So Twickenham, Stade de France, Eden Park etc (thought the southern hemisphere nations play across multiple stadiums) Love the videos!
Wish rugby was more popular not saying the stadiums are ugly they do have character but they're too small & look embracing for a Tier one competition of any sport in 2021 C-USA last week stadiums were much better even though that's like tier 8 or 9 behind the power 5 & AAC, MWC and maybe MAC aswell
There is no need for the stadiums to be bigger. Before Covid-19, almost all teams had attendances of more than 80%. Wasps have the biggest stadium in the league with a capacity of 32000 but could barely get 50% capacity. In England, rugby is the 2nd or 3rd most popular sport after football and average attendances are around 14,000 and therefore the sizes of the stadia are appropriate.
I think they're known as a "borough" and not 'suburb' in central London. I don't know whether that's just a London thing or it's nationwide. Well done on the correct pronunciation of Gloucester too.
No, boroughs are the specific administrative areas. They look after all the public services for that area. Greater London is divided into 32 different boroughs. The word 'suburb' is a loose term that just means a town or area that lies very close to, or is part of, a larger area. So, Twickenham is in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, and also by definition is a suburb of London.
Newcastle also share with an RL team, the Newcastle Thunder. Also London Broncos used to play at the stoop, along with half of the other stadiums inside the M25
Thunder have since gone bust.
Glad to see rugby stadiums being covered nice touch adding the new wasps logo.
Glad to see Rugby stadiums hope to see more
I consider Ashton Gate to be the "Anfield of the South"
I've always wanted to be known as "some other guy". Glad to mark that one off my list.

The Anfield of the South? 😂😂😂😂😂

Start in their 3rd division, surely, and work up the ways.
love the videos, could you please do Rugby League Super League Stadiums?
I don't know jack about rugby but I'm still watching every second of this
same
They have beautiful stadiums, you don't hear me complaining.
Its a very interesting and exciting game to watch. It's also a very physical game if your into that type of stuff
Great video, can't wait to see the United rugby championship video
Can't wait for your 2021 Olympics stadiums!
A field of the south - wonderful! And yes, full view of the bridge from upper stand

I would like to see it too
rugby super league stadiums and championship stadiums next ?
Even Jimmy Anderson could hit a 6. 😅 Love the sarcastic wit, keep up the good wit and knowledgeable videos
Gloucester's stadium is known among fans as "Castle Grim". My understanding of the reasons for this is because the land the stadium was on was owned by the Castle Grim estate before the Club purchased it.
Now you gotta do Super Rugby stadiums! And Pro14! Just do all of them!
love all these stadium vids. Can you do a Serie A stadiums one?
Will do!
@@TheWideWorldofStadiums Ooooooooooo you the best!

Could you do the Top 14? Great stadiums there
Super League stadiums (rugby League) next !

Might as well do Super league stadiums as well.
More rugby videos, please! Super Rugby Americas, Currie Cup, NPC, Rugby Europe Super Cup.
French D2, Japan Rugby League One
It pisses it down in Bath regularly. Got soaked a few times watching the rugby.
Thanks. Hope you can do a guide to other Rugby, France Top 14, Celtic League. Think France Second tier Pro D2 might be the best minor league.
some other guy that’s me 😂🏆
In London we do refer to Twickenham as suburban, but really most people I know just call it a town.
Newcastle Falcons share stadium with Newcastle Thunder in championship rugby league.
Do national rugby league Stadiums next
Yes, NRL & Super League
There's such a disparity in stadium seating capacities between two of England's national sports. While on that note, such disparity also exists between the clubs' home grounds and Twickenham. Whilst in football, many stadiums rival Wembley in seating capacity. I wonder why.
great vid, would be interested in a URC (united rugby championship) stadium video, a wide range of stadiums in the league
I know the NBA and NHL Arenas are closed and not necessarily stadiums, but I would love to see a video on them! Keep up the good work!
Slightly different, but Could we have a video on the National Stadiums of the Rugby Tier 1 Nations, So Twickenham, Stade de France, Eden Park etc (thought the southern hemisphere nations play across multiple stadiums)

Just for interest Georgia’s home grounds as well. Think one is home to Dinamo Tbilisi.
Do every championship league stadium
7:04
SuperLeague RL stadiums next??
Wish rugby was more popular not saying the stadiums are ugly they do have character but they're too small & look embracing for a Tier one competition of any sport in 2021
C-USA last week stadiums were much better even though that's like tier 8 or 9 behind the power 5 & AAC, MWC and maybe MAC aswell
Union is more of an international game than it is a club one, Twickenham for example sells out every game and it's an 82000 seater

Welford road, best club rugby stadium in the UK
Started the video with a comment about this being the top tier ruby league in England, do they have relegations in Rugby like they do in Soccer?
Been to Ashton Gate to Watch Saracens play Bristol. I have yet to visit Saracens at StoneX (It is high on my bucket list)
I am adamant that the reason sale’s attendance is so low is because of how impossible it is to actually get there
It’s not like there’s anywhere else for them to move to though
@@anonymousjohn6491 yeah it’s just a bit of a sucky situation tbh
you should defo do the Pro16 (Rugby United Championship) stadiums next.
2 years later London Irish, Wasps and Worcester as well as Championship Club Jersey Reds have all gone bust.
Anybody else wish Carnegie or Pirates had come up instead of Sarries this season, just for shits and giggles? Warriors!!!
I would have suggested Coventry RFC, just for the "derby" with Wasps. And the shits and giggles.
Carnegie? Not even Championship now.
Maybe your thinking Ealing Trailfinders?
You should do the pro 14 stadiums
have you thought of doing Texas high school football stadiums?
Can you do English super league rugby next? Please
Gaelic grounds next thanks ya bogan aussie!
Hahahah the AJ Bell stadium is *hated*
And they're trying to move to a new stadium closer to... Sale.
