Yvonne, love the jewelry trees and would enjoy watching you create one on your channel. A tip for untangling the knotted up necklace chains in jewelry jars is to use a straight pin. Poke it into the center of the knotted area and it helps to loosen the tangle. There will be many, many tangles. TFS.
You are such a tickle! You light up like an excited child with all the jewelry goodies you can hardly wait to create with. Love, love, love all the adventures you take us on.
I have the unpriced tin. My grandma gave it to my momma in 1955 when she got married. It was full of all kinds of different buttons. Momma used them and added buttons until I got married in 1982. At that point, she gave it to me. I don't know what that person wants, but mine is priceless! I love buttons, and I collect them to this day.
Rolling my eyes, big no. I’m like very jealous 😂. I wear vintage earrings and brooches, LOVE THEM. I’m so happy you bought those two. Pearls are my favorite of any jewelry and has been ever since I was like 8 or 9. I discovered them in a Sears catalog, lol. Pearls are a life lesson, a grain of sand or a small piece of shell in a clam caused this to form. Some so bad and painful for the clam turned into the most prefect piece of beauty. Same in life, the hard times in ours life can actually turn into something beautiful or used to make something amazing. Sorry. 😊❤
Yvonne, looks like so much fun!! The Fort Wayne antique store brought back memories. I used to go shopping with my fiancé there when he would go home to visit his mom.
I look forward to seeing what you make with all those pearls. It is always fun to go shopping with you and Chris. That bumper car looked so neat. I would not take a chance on the "jewelry cocoon"!
Jewelry Tree is one that my Aunt made. It was her and her friend's old jewelry. It is beautiful!!! I would love to make a Jewelry Tree. Thank you for sharing!!
Great finds again! I love the church sign, hoping you post a video of this with the numbers and letters, I’m curious to see them together. That jewelry is fun! I have never seen anyone sell these in my area but I will be on the lookout for sure! Prayers to you and your family ❤
Thanks for taking us along again! I can't wait to see what you create with the jewelry. I have a bunch of mine and my late mother's costume jewelry. I will be taking inspiration from you on this. Super excited! Love from Texas ❤
Yay Friday night antique shopping with Yvonne and Chris. Thank you for taking me along. I love the jewelry. Can’t wait to see where you create. You got some great stuff missed tater today he must be sleeping😂❤😊
Yvonne, someone suggested you try an antique store in Decatur, IN which would be Hwy 27 South out of FW. After that, you should try Markle Exit 286 Antique Mall in Markle, IN, which would only be 20 miles from Decatur down Hwy 224. I really think you and Chris would enjoy Markle. And it's easy to get on I-69 to go home to MI, or FW has nice hotels if you get tuckered out from shopping! 😊
Love your ding-a-ling! Some of your fakey pearls come with a plasticky colored coating that will come off over time. Just something to keep in mind. Look forward to your projects with the jewelry. 😊
$22.50 is a shocking price for mystery jewelry! LOL! But that's what the market has become and actually it is not too bad a price. I recently paid $40 for a shoe-size tote of miscellaneous jewelry. I particularly LOVE getting the rhinestone & beaded button-style earrings from the 1940's & 1950's. I love it when there are a bunch of single earrings in a mystery jar! I glue them to barrettes & hair clips and sell them at my antique/vintage booth. I usually do pretty well with them, make my rent every month on those things lol. I LOVE vintage jewelry too! I've made many things repurposing other people's throw-aways. You go girl! Create away! We are here to oooh and ahhhh over the beauties you will create!
You have mentioned the trees you created that sparked your interest in the jewelry boxes. Did you make those on the channel? I don’t remember seeing them.
I have to ask....if you find an item that isn't priced, can't you take it up to the check out and have them call the vendor for a price? That just seem like a common courtesy they would be we willing to extend to customers. Love your haul. Looking forward to seeing what you create with all that jewelry.
