This is why turbowarp packager exists. Just make the game, then package it into a windows executable, then upload on gamejolt. I never have to deal with Scratch Team because of it.
@@sunman-6giy25they can’t do that since 1. TurboWarp is not owned by scratch and is a Desktop App 2. The packager turns it into JavaScript, preventing the ST from telling if it was made in scratch. 3. That would ruin Scratch’s reputation

I once did a ban speedrun on the website after getting my main false banned. I spent over a week on a rampage making the most offensive idiotic stuff possible and they finally banned me for 5 minutes… I DID NOTHING AND MY OTHER ONE WAS GONE FOR 2 MONTHS
I had my account permanently banned for 8 months during 2020 because I had my TH-cam link in my description. I emailed them countless times and submitted so many tickets for them just to randomly unban me one day. Scratch moderation was non-existent until one day randomly in 2020 when they started banning so many people. I've moved on to new stuff lol
The reason why griffpatch isn't banned is because he is *_literally_* the only reason why the site is up. The scratch team loves anything that lets them be lazy, and he, intentionally or unintentionally, allows them to be lazy A LOT.
@@realPurpleOrb But if he doesn’t have to, how does he let the Scratch Team be lazy? Griffpatch doesn’t do any of the work the Scratch Team does (moderation, site work, etc.), so that means the Scratch Team has to do all the work; that’s the opposite of letting the ST be lazy. And please remember to provide evidence (or at least some critical thinking) when making a claim.
at this point, my mind tells me the best way to make a VERY POPULAR game and NOT GET IN TROUBLE by S . T is: > make a platformer > the platformer has to be black and has an eye > chinese (or japanese) text

I've been using scratch since August 2015 (when I was 6-7 years old) I've been constantly making projects ever since. I spent 2 ENTIRE weeks on a mario project that I was really proud of, for it to get a mind boggling
I got a project taken down for "realistic violence." The project was a game where you shoot a piece of fruit before it reaches the other side of the screen. Fruit are considered people on Scratch. No wonder everyone is leaving.
scratch took down one of my popular projects for "violence" and it's just an animation of a dog "breaking the forth wall" that contains a badly-drawn pistol with no blood
Talking about its crappy moderation, I got false reported for telling a user named BlockyFin about where I would go on holiday to meet new friends. I told him about it and got banned about it. I’ve been falsely IP banned by the ST!
I’ve been false reported a lot in the past, one was me mentioning that a friend moved and deleted their old account got taken down for being ‘disrespectful’. How is that even disrespectful? I’m suing ST for this.
been here for 6 years. eventually on my 3rd year, i got banned for mentioning kiIIing myself. the ban lasted for 2.5 years. i would get an account, use it for a few months, and then they'd go "remember that thing you said a 2 years ago? well thats not allowed! we gotta take your account now!" this happened 8 times.
i got my dress up game taken down because apparently adding a funny cowboy outfit is dangerous for kids erm and also a game that i was really planning to update got taken down as well just because i was creative and reused someone’s script for a better idea WITH THE ORIGINAL CREATOR’S PERMISSION, but scratch said “omg no don’t steal1!1!1!”
I had an account that have same name as my yt name. I was (probably) famous among the community that I making game. And then Scratch banned me, I had soo good quality games. I put my hours on them, I had soo much story and mechanic to put them, I was soo close to make my dream real. And then BOOM!!! Scratch team banned me for only used a fighting theme. And then I cried for weeks. I tried to get account back. But I couldn't. Then I f*cking stopped using scratch and I will never come back. I can't get that hundreds of follower u know... Don't use scratch or you will be scratced...
Use turbowarp or penguinmod so ur project files are saved onto your device instead and if u do ever come back to scratch always save your sb3 files locally
Tips for avoiding bans on horror games: Put a trigger warning in the beginning, and heavily emphasis it, don't make it some normal text appearing for 2 seconds. Also maybe make a second warning like an "Are you sure you want to play this game?". Add a button in settings that turns off jump scares or makes everything less scary. Don't add too much violence or scariness if it's unnecessary. Give directions, warnings and a how-to on turning off jump scares in the Instructions or notes/credits. If you do get banned, make a convincing appeal that explains everything, hopefully a mod can understand. And the last one is a bit controversial: Making mascot horror games. A lot of people hate this genre because it's not scary at all and popular with brainrot and kids. This genre could also be troubling because Scratch could think the game is actually a "bait-and-switch"; a game genre where players are baited into the game by it's innocent, simple appearance, before things take dark and unsettling turns (I recommend not actually making a "bait-and-switch" on Scratch, Roblox is a better choice". Though mascot horror isn't a popular genre, making an actual horror game in the region of Phasmophobia or even P.T. is probably not the best choice. There are a lot of FNaF fangames on the platform, most of them deleted, but there are a ton of studios, games and animations dedicated to it. That shows the size of the mascot horror community on Scratch. So, hope for the best and for good luck, and prepare for the worst. I hope these tips helped. Thank you for reading and like the comment so more can see it.
i got permanently banned for telling a scratch team fanboy to stop false reporting my friends projects, whats even worse is that the same Scratch team fanboy goes to my school and bullies me
As a scratch user (2 years+), i have seen some stuff in my time, i used to have a friend called MickeyMouseMemes, he was very cringe and had about 5 gfs, he was then exposed for being racist and homophobic, and later, people found out he was actually a child predator, never seen him since, hes banned now btw
erm, is that the diverse circle looking character called circle with a mole from the small youtube show called battle for circle or bfc made by the underrated youtuber animator called cheesyhfj who also made the hit object show called one?
Ah yes, this is relatable. As you can see, in the lore community most scratchers are just hating people for no reason and I've seen someone upload some ships or it may be inappropriate. Which is against the Scratch TOS. I had that experience of getting too much involvement and some people were terminated it's because it violates the Scratch TOS. I can see why these scratchers just came up with a different account and doing this stuff over and over, I find it ridiculous in my opinion. For those who are getting involved in Shipping, Some hate Projects, or maybe you might get offended, never join the lore community. You'll regret joining it.
My opinion about Scratch, I know some of you don't like Scratch but I often use it. I'd never been blocked from my main account before. It was pretty awesome, but there are some disadvantages most people are really stupid, because these people are just for remixing for no reason, hating, or it against the Scratch TOS just to make them "funny".

My friend got banned because he had "multiple accounts" It was literally someone he interacted with a few times. They were different people. He hasn't been unbanned yet. I use scratch for animation and lorestuffs. If it was purely a tool for games, I would've left by now.
Scratch used to be a hell of a lot better before their fancy 2.0 redesign that turned it from a fun little site for doing games, art, animations, etc. with some social stuff on the side to the inverse where anything of actual quality was sidelined and it turned into basically a social media site for pre-teens with the actual programming and stuff on the side. Anyone from the 1.4 days moved on a long time ago with some of the big names like 08jackt going on to make indie games on Steam. The moderation definitely used to be better back in the day, too, but I think a lot of the original Scratch Team aren't involved with Scratch anymore. Miss the days of Lightnin and Paddle2See. I suppose that's what happens when you market towards idiot children, you're going to get absolute slop, lol.
0:34 you can get around this by copy-pasting invisible characters in between the letters of words scratch considers "bad" Edit: here is one of said characters: (the character after the colon) also known as U+200A or "Hair Space"
As a person who is using scratch for a fnaf game i feel bad. I had my account temporarily taken down because I remixed a project and recolored the characters. Mind you it's the SECOND DAY of using that website.
I got banned for saying don’t mass report. Also I have seen hazbin hotel content on scratch. If you live under a rock that is one of the most non kid friendly show.
and the scratch team kinda hates it when some people hate on zoophilia because they think you are targeting furries and they wanna keep the furries so they will block you usually
Reasonable imo Even if you’re dunking on zoophilia (the very cool and epic thing to do), you’re still mentioning zoophilia, which is an extremely taboo subject, especially for a kids’ site. It’s better to just report any zoophiles you see.
i dont really do this on scratch. i actually try my ABSOLUTE HARDEST to make good quality projects and animations for my friends and viewers on the website! I personally think scratch is amazing and is one of my favourite things to do when I'm bored!
I’ve been in scratch for 3 years, and I’ve never heard about any unfair warnings or bans until now. It actually makes me sad that the coding site that I have been in for years has been purged with bad moderation. I still use the site to code games and other stuff, but this is still a bad thing to hear about.
Bruh- Scratch took down one of my projects cuz someone copied it, then called MINE the copy, despite the fact that the project showed screenshots of MY OWN UNIQUE IN-GAME WOBBLEDOGS
The Legend of Skibdi Toilet Rizzler and the Grimace Shake Chapter 1: The Quest Begins In the bustling city of Maxxington, where skyscrapers kissed the clouds and neon lights painted the night, there lived a young man named Max. Max was no ordinary individual; he was known far and wide as the "Skibdi Toilet Rizzler." This peculiar title was earned through his unmatched ability to solve the most bizarre and challenging puzzles, often involving the city's intricate network of public restrooms. Max's life took an unexpected turn when he stumbled upon an ancient scroll hidden in the depths of an old library. The scroll spoke of a legendary elixir known as the "Grimace Shake," said to grant the drinker unparalleled charisma and charm, or as the locals called it, "rizz." The scroll also mentioned a mysterious artifact called the "Gyat 10000," a device that could amplify the effects of the Grimace Shake to unimaginable levels. Chapter 2: The Journey to the Unknown Determined to find the Grimace Shake and the Gyat 10000, Max set off on a journey that would take him to the farthest corners of the world. His first stop was the Enchanted Forest of Rizzwood, where he hoped to find clues about the Grimace Shake's whereabouts. The forest was known for its magical creatures and hidden secrets, and Max knew he had to be cautious. As he ventured deeper into the forest, Max encountered a wise old owl named Oliver. Oliver had lived in the forest for centuries and knew of the Grimace Shake's legend. He told Max that the elixir was hidden in the Temple of Charisma, located at the heart of the forest. However, the temple was guarded by a series of intricate puzzles and traps, designed to test the worthiness of any who sought the Grimace Shake. Chapter 3: The Temple of Charisma With Oliver's guidance, Max navigated the treacherous path to the Temple of Charisma. The temple was a magnificent structure, adorned with ancient symbols and glowing runes. As Max approached the entrance, he felt a surge of excitement and determination. He knew that the challenges ahead would be difficult, but he was ready to face them. Inside the temple, Max encountered a series of puzzles that tested his intellect, agility, and courage. From deciphering cryptic messages to navigating through a maze of mirrors, Max used his skills as the Skibdi Toilet Rizzler to overcome each obstacle. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he reached the inner sanctum of the temple, where the Grimace Shake awaited. Chapter 4: The Power of the Grimace Shake The Grimace Shake was a shimmering, violet liquid contained in an ornate crystal vial. Max could feel its power radiating from within. With a deep breath, he drank the elixir, feeling an immediate surge of energy and confidence. The transformation was incredible; Max's charisma and charm were now unmatched, and he felt ready to take on the world. But his quest was not yet complete. Max still needed to find the Gyat 10000 to fully harness the power of the Grimace Shake. According to the scroll, the Gyat 10000 was hidden in the ancient city of Charismopolis, a place long forgotten by time. Chapter 5: The Final Challenge Max's journey to Charismopolis was fraught with danger and adventure. He crossed treacherous deserts, scaled towering mountains, and braved stormy seas. Along the way, he encountered allies and adversaries, each adding to the tapestry of his epic quest. When Max finally reached Charismopolis, he found the city in ruins, overgrown with vines and shrouded in mystery. Deep within the city's catacombs, he discovered the Gyat 10000, a magnificent device that glowed with an otherworldly light. As Max activated the Gyat 10000, he felt the power of the Grimace Shake amplify to unimaginable levels. Chapter 6: The Return to Maxxington With the Grimace Shake and the Gyat 10000, Max returned to Maxxington as a legend. His newfound charisma and charm transformed the city, inspiring its inhabitants to achieve greatness. Max used his powers for good, solving problems, uniting communities, and bringing joy to all. The tale of the Skibdi Toilet Rizzler and the Grimace Shake became a legend, passed down through generations. Max's journey was a testament to the power of determination, courage, and the belief that even the most ordinary individuals can achieve extraordinary things. And so, the legend of Max, the Skibdi Toilet Rizzler, lived on, a beacon of hope and inspiration for all who dared to dream.
there are many ways i can relate to this. i am part of one of the most popular studios on scratch, and i can confirm that virtually all of the other curators have been muted for ridiculous reasons (including myself). dozens of people have had their accounts deleted multiple times, and trolls appear regularly. the api is trash as well, along with the algorithms used to promote projects (not to mention that the site is down a good portion of the time).

It's time for a revolution from the entire community. Unless we take drastic action immediately NOTHING IS EVER GOING TO CHANGE. The problems with Scratch go much deeper than what is shown here. From an extremely toxic, immature, and all around horrible community of kid haters, homophobes, and racists, to a horrible plagiarism issue that ensures good artists are left in the dust while shitty projects get pushed to the top, to the social media aspect of Scratch that makes Scratch more about attention than coding, there are so many issues a full reset is needed of the website IMMEDIATELY. All of us must rally together against their tyranny unless we want things to get even worse. Join the Scratch Revolution before it's too late.
I can definitly agree that scratch's bot that like bans ppl and projects is definitly broken and dumb, but I feel like that scratch now al so doesnt have the best community
I'm willing to bet that these are most likely power-hungry college students, judging from the fact it's all coming from MIT. Why would you do this on a site intended for children, and for others to connect and share eachother's work? These people just tower over children for the heck of it. It's insane and kinda makes me sad.
With the whole moss-shadow situation, the moderation being godawful holds up even more than ever. Why is it that adults who clearly hate children and people in general are in charge of that website? Also how they will take someone down over an innocent furry drawing and meanwhile link to Twitter during downtime where you could easily access uhh... other things. At this point I'm just tempted to email them anonymously and flame them profusely.
The first time I got banned, it was permanent. I still don’t have my account back. Why was I banned? I got muted too many times. That’s it. that’s all that happened. Tips for avoiding bans on horror games:
Put a trigger warning in the beginning, and heavily emphasis it, don't make it some normal text appearing for 2 seconds.

The Legend of Skibdi Toilet Rizzler and the Grimace Shake
Chapter 1: The Quest Begins
In the bustling city of Maxxington, where skyscrapers kissed the clouds and neon lights painted the night, there lived a young man named Max.
Chapter 2: The Journey to the Unknown
Determined to find the Grimace Shake and the Gyat 10000, Max set off on a journey that would take him to the farthest corners of the world.
Chapter 3: The Temple of Charisma
With Oliver's guidance, Max navigated the treacherous path to the Temple of Charisma.
Chapter 4: The Power of the Grimace Shake
The Grimace Shake was a shimmering, violet liquid contained in an ornate crystal vial.
Chapter 5: The Final Challenge
Max's journey to Charismopolis was fraught with danger and adventure.
Chapter 6: The Return to Maxxington
With the Grimace Shake and the Gyat 10000, Max returned to Maxxington as a legend.
