As much as i would like to say kindness, im more convinced that it was a marketing attempt for the french comapny cause they saw he was filming and saw it as an opportunity for free advertising. Again It was probably kindness, i see those people as brilliant business partners and they saw that opportunity took it and made a friendship with priceless memories. Also the only reasoning i have for their decision to comeback is that they brought him to the building, so maybe they wanted to give him a brief review of their products in hope for a quick advertise. Im just still amazed though people will go out of their way to bring a stranger in need to help.
BeckerSauce N9ne Yup 100%. And amir usually tells the strangerd on or off camera that he is recording a video and he shows them his 1M sub youtube channel just so they know hes legit. Sometimes they dont record it and sometimes they cut it out but still those french guys probably had a reason sadly.
My mom was backpacking alone in New Zealand when she was 22 and she was lost and this couple let her sleep at their place, cooked for her and made sure she will be fine. 24 years later, our entire family travelled in New Zealand. Dad was driving in the countryside and mom suddenly yelled to stop the car. She go out, knocked on the door, and the same couple from over twenty years ago opened it and recognized her.

Pro tip for backpackers: if you’re hungry, you should walk up to a small, family owned, place and ask if you could clean some stuff for them or just if you could do anything for some food and they’re usually really chill. It’s 100% better than just asking for free food

My brother actually lived at the Shakespeare and company bookstore for almost six months back in 2009. They got a free sandwich every morning and didn’t pay anything to stay there, the only obligation was to read one book per day and help out a little. The owner died a few years ago, happy to see his daughter is still running it like he did. Also he had 5€ per day to live off which he did successfully!

My mum told me that when she was backpacking in Australia this guy came along in his lorry on his way home and just picked up all the backpackers he saw and took them back to his house where his wife cooked them all a really nice meal and then gave them a bed to sleep in. Absolutely no motivation behind it other than to help people out and give them all a rly nice evening and the fact my mum still tells the story 35 years on just shows how much an act of kindness sticks with people
there's a famous Australian called Ivan Milat, he did almost the same thing. Google him, gave backpackers the true aussie experience

TheRealMe i’ve been in paris a bunch of times and I could count with my hands the number of people that was nice, most of them where cunty assholes, you speak them in french making an efford and they respond in english, wack
People are super nice in Paris but not willing to give anything away other than instructions and a cigarette
True, but Paris is also a city where you just get constantly asked by strangers if you have money, food and also a lot of sketchy people wanting you to fill out papers and hand over money etc. so people are cautious, and after a few hours or days in the city you just randomly say no to people before they could even explain because there are just so many of people asking for this and that or wanting you to buy this or that.. So i kind of get the mentality but the french guys were nice, but also recognized the marketing profit of it i guess, but none the less, nice and funny guys eh.. ;)
plus, french people in general, on the countryside, mostly very nice and welcoming.. been hiking through the countryside for over a month, and people are nice mostly.. And i reckon they would give you something for free too, if you asked as nicely and positively as he did in the video.. but city people are just different..

a lot of companies' founder are chill and kind, its because they don't have to worry about their basic need so they will probably help anyone in need that they see as much as possible, that way it can act as free advertisement and people will actually like the company

It's more likely that they didn't want to cancel their plans right after having met him. I mean, they were on their way to have dinner at home. In France, dinners at home matter, y'know.

Poor dude. I would rather starve than ask for food. I once asked a woman to share a bit of water on hot summer day and she looked at me as if I was crazy to ask. Never again. If this guy came my way in my town, I'd totally treat him with meals.
Im french and one time i got the opposite i was completely sick in winter and it was so bad and one of the woman that was working inside the same place but i just never meet her wanted to sshare her bottle of water with me and i was like..... Huuummm dont wanna make you sick it will be fine ,and she was like come on just take it that was so sweet lol
