I lived on Indiana on the east side of the kc museum mansion. It was getting to be a dangerous neighborhood in 1992 when I left northeast for good and moved to the burbs which is too bad. I swear that last house used to be a nursing home/old folks or a veterans home residential home. I can’t recall for sure. The restoration of the home is amazing! Thanks for giving us a tour!
Thanks for commenting! I really appreciate it. Where in the burbs did you move to?
moved to Ray county - we do have our share of crime (no one can escape it completely) here and unfortunately the schools aren’t that great but lots of room to spread out and cost of living is a lot lower. I recommend small town Missouri for anyone who doesn’t mind spending time driving to the city once in a while. @@LivingInKansasCity-JaylennWong
Nice. Are you closer to the city, more in the rural areas? I was just in Lawson. Didn't realize that Lawson is in both Clay and Ray counties until I was writing a contract.
I saw a home for sale in Paola Ks, which is about 25 miles north of where I live. It was built in 1990 but it looked like it was built in 1890. It has five bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. Price was $525,000.00 but it was my kind of place. Too expensive for me. There are several homes for sale in Paola Ks which go for over $300,000.00 and were built in the late 1800s to early 1900s. So you see you can find grand homes for sale in many rural areas outside of Kansas City Mo. God bless.
The bars on the windows are particularly charming. No thanks.
Pendleton Heights is getting a lot better than it previously was.
Wow only 1.299 million for that last house is a great value. I’m sure a lot of Californians would take that in a second.
It’s quite amazing how much you can get for your money compared to other areas of the country.
looks like maybe in a bad neighborhood? bars on windows and doors?
