When I misbehaved as a child, sometimes my father would say, "If I get up, you go down." I've always loved that line. 😂 Reacher standing up in this reminded me of that.
For the Army O-clubs haven't actually existed for a while, at least not at Army posts in the continental States. Moreover an officer, Like Reacher, was usually allowed to bring in an NCO as a guest. So telling baldie to kick rocks would be perfectly kosher. As for most people outranking her, sure all officers do, but an E-8 has been in service a LONG time. Odds are the officer who wanted her out would be out of service long before he could match her time in service (for officers you fail a few promotion boards and you kind of get pushed out). A First sergeant is the same pay grade and only the three Sergeant major ranks outrank her, outright, in the enlisted ranks. Put in context a colonel would pay close attention to what a MS said, so that guy would probably get a severe talking to for disrespecting her like that from his chain of command. Not official of course, but it could cost him a promotion, that sort of thing.
@@darkamora5123 I'm aware of the ranks from my time in service. Wasnt an officer so I don't know about the insides of the club. I think for the context of the show she mightve been able to stay but the being in uniform and drinking pushed baldie over the edge. Which is exactly what reacher wanted to happen & bound the unit.
@@andrewwebb3248 Fair on what Reacher intended. Even when in service I had no issue calling bullshit on what people said. Like telling an officer no, and him thinking I would get in trouble, he just didn't have the rank to countermand the order I was already following. It's just fun, as an enlisted man, to be able to put an O-1 or O-2 in their place, respectfully, but firmly. Bladie was in his feelings and paid for it.
The probability of an officer speaking to an E-8 that way is quite low. It's feminist propaganda but also draws in the audience who bonds with the team as they beat up the assholes.
No officer would ever tell an E-8 adults are talking, not even a general. And officers could invite guests into an officer's club, even civilians. Inviting a senior NCO in wouldn't raise an eyebrow.
Reacher definitely instigated the fight on purpose, and he WASN'T looking for people who could WIN a fight... He was checking to make sure his crew WOULD fight when the odds were against them
@@themetalchica The first two seasons are based of three of the books. There are 20+ books left in the series to theoretically keep it going for a bit.
started reading the books this show is based on & they are great. when i read the back & tells how Reacher gets involved with some group that messing with people, my thought? They are screwed!

The most realistic part of Reacher is men seeing a guy a head taller and with tree trucks for arms, and thinking “I can take him.”
When I was in the Army I fought a large Samoan because it had to happen. I wouldn't want any of Reacher's smoke 😂
@@peaknonsense2041yeah there’s a difference between fighting someone bigger out of self defense and instigating a fight.
Everyone’s going on about Reacher but the guy on the floor just laying into that guy is golden 😂
Yah it's like watching a pit bull going to town on someone with a chihuahua as backup
While I understand the point of an officer club and her being a MSG thats still utter disrespect of telling her to be quiet.

That makes sense.
And nothing bonds a group of soldiers like fighting together.
Reacher is a force of nature. 😂
Looks like I need to watch Reacher!
Awesome show especially season 1. Makes Tom Cruise look like a runt!
Great show. 1 season is my favorite. Shows how wrong the casting of Tom Cruise was. This guy is the real Reacher.
One of the best series ever. You will not regret it.
Yeah, I started watching immediately after commenting and am currently seconds from starting season 2, episode 1. I'm 100% serious.

Am I the only one that sees Clint Eastwood every time he speaks? (and I love it)
I'm pulling this series down to watch!
He should be the new BATMAN!!
A big mouth doesn't win a fight. 12 against 9, yes what? Oi!
the 'g' in Neagley is silent, Mr. Schmitt. 🙂

the greenish lighting in the memories is due to old fluorescent tube lighting.
Awesome video.
Can I make a suggestion? I’d love to see a compilation of reactions to the big reveal in Season one, episode thirteen of The Good Place.
Thad Castle grew up lol
I always get reacher and dexter mixed up for some reason
