This past week...I put down my 15 year-old salt and pepper mini schnauzer Kiki. She went downhill fast. It's heartbreaking.When the time feels right, I will get another schnauzer simply because they're the best. As my first and only, Kiki showed me one big lesson -- like is truly better with a dog.

I know it's been awhile since you posted this but I just wanted to say I feel your pain. I had to put my schnauzer dog down seven years ago and it still makes me sad to think about it. Long story short she got an abscess and it poisoned her blood. She deteriorated so quickly and lost weight. By the time I took her to the vet it was to late. I took her home for one more day and night to spend with her and just gave her loves. The time came to put her down and I held her little paw as she slowly left this world. I took her home and wrapped her up in my favorite Care Bear childhood blanket and buried her . It was one of the hardest moments of my life. Rest in peace my little diva dog. I am truly sorry for your loss.
This just makes me miss Baby, she had horrible seizures the final days of her 14 yr life.... I’ll never forget the two winks of her eye letting me know she was ready to go.
This make me very sad... my dearly beloved schnauzer-girl died last March. She almost reached the age of 16. I feel so enormously guilty for all those hours I left her alone at home....Nowadays I would give a kingdom for 5 more minutes with her 💔😔

Ive got 2 schnauzer puppy girls for this reason thay play and play together so much. Anyone who is thinking of getting a 2nd pup , it is the best thing you can give them. Yes its double the trouble but thay r so happy, best friends. Especially if you are leaving puppy at home alone, consider this. Thay love you so much, ther worth it ☺
My wife and I have been at the hospital for four days bringing our son into this world and we’ve been missing our little Dobby (Irish terrier miniature schnauzer mix). This made us cry and smile and I just want to thank you for the feels. He’s going to be oh so happy when we come home and have a whole new member of the family to spread even more love with.
I came here to find some confort. This morning we put to sleep our twelve-year-old schnauzer who has been suffering really bad his leishmaniasis. I cannot stop crying, I just wish he could still be here with us, healthy and grumpy as always. I find some confort on your videos because is like I can still feel him on a very delusional and fake way but I think it's just what I need to keep on with my life. Thank you so much
My salt and pepper mini schnauzer, King, was the best dog I ever had. He was actually more like a hairy little brother (had him in my childhood through my young adult years). 17 years and he never lost a step until the very end. A great judge of character, strong as an ox (for his size) and absolutely fearless. I will get another when the time is right
I love Chumpie. He has unusually big eyes. OMG He is so cute. He cannot be replaced.
So sweet , Chumpie reminds me of my schnauzer I had him 19 years he was a few months away from being 20 when he passed away, when I think of him, I remember him knowing what I was going to do before I did it. He always knew who I should trust, I miss him very much. Thanks for sharing your sweet Chumpie with us.
Enjoy him while he's young! I wish my schnauzer boy could play like that again....he went blind in August. I miss his puppy playing so much
Tammie T Aw I feel you. My schnauzer turns eleven in February. He was diagnosed with diabetes and went blind in this past year. Watching this video made me so sad because I feel like I could've played with him way more when he was able.

I really love that you documented Chumpie's life. It's really meaningful. My own Mini Schanuzer, Skippy, passed away recently at the age of 13 due to complications, so we had to let him go. My deepest regret was not documenting enough of his time on earth. But the times we spent were the best. Do seek adoption as another option besides buying, It gives other dogs a second chance. I'll be looking forward to see more videos from you and cheeky Chumpie. God Bless.
Our little girl passed away in my arms a year ago to this month. Awfully sad and completely agree with you about adoption. The best way to remember her would be to adopt another less fortunate schnauzer and to give it the wonderful life that she had.
Looks like my 12 1/2 year old mini. We can't all take them everywhere but just love them when we are home. I am retired so not out much. She is happy when she gets a treat for "looking after the house".
Update. My dear girl needed to be euthanised 2 1/2 months ago at 14 years. Though mostly home, I had a friends 60th birthday party. I got my daughter to come over and stay with her that evening as I might have been late. She was happy bouncing around in the lambie fashion. The next day she was having fits and sadly was in extreme pain. Four days earlier she jumped on the back of the couch and cuddled into my neck. I think she may have known. She made my life happier and I am grateful for the gift of her love. Tears are never far away though and at 73, sadly too old to ever get another Mini Schnauzer pup. They are the best.

I did the same thing with my schnauzer 30 years ago. She LOVED tennis balls so I bought about ten and dropped them on the floor at the same time. She didn't know what to do next......just like your angel! He is too adorable!

I just had to put my 10 year old schnauzer Pyper to sleep. She had Congestive Heart Failure and wasn't getting better with medications, her pulmonary edema related to the CHF got progressively worse and she was suffering so bad. It broke my heart to lose her. She truly was the love of my life. So smart, super sweet and very affectionate! When my heartbreak is less I will get another schnauzer.

I started tearing up...like I feel awful leaving my puppy alone while I'm at school. Wish places would allow dogs. She is trained and such a sweetheart. I honestly never want to leave her at home again.
It actually made me cry because I have my chihuahua and when ever I went out with my husband she was home alone and how she has a baby boy we got foe her and sure they fight sometimes but most of the time they eat together, sleep together, play together and she is not alone anymore my Lola has a Bruno.
I lost my mini Schnauzer in February 2018. It’s been hard I miss my fur baby Gia, thanks for making videos of Chumpie. I see Gia’s face in him. Please keep making more videos.

I am currently spending a year abroad and I have two miniature schnauzers. I haven’t seen them in three months and it’s been the hardest experience ever. I miss them with all my heart and I’m crying as I watch the videos of Chumpie. Thank you for making them!

Wonderfully produced video about a one of a kind dog. We love Chumpie. And we love his videos. But if he is being left alone all day, he needs a Schnauzer friend. Schnauzers are social animals. It makes a world of difference to have a pair of these human-like dogs. Happy Holidays!

Why did this make me cry.
This story reminded me of the cartoons I watched in my childhood back in the 80s. The characters were made out of clay (kids, dogs, cats…) and I think they did not talk, but the stories, all sweet and sad, were pretty self-explanatory just like this one, where Chumpie doesn’t have anyone else to play.

Watching this while playing with my teething 9 week old mini schnauzer. He is a handful but I wouldn't trade him for the world. My arms and toes will be happy when his adult teeth come in though. I play with him for hours everday but he still feels the need to sneak attack my familys toes and hands. Crazy lil guy :P

Next time you get a puppy, try yelping like a dog when the pup bites on you. That's how you can let him know that you don't like that behavior. Yelp loudly, and then turn away and ignore him, like, "You've hurt me, so I don't want to play anymore." That's how puppies respond when a sibling gets too rough. The way humans typically respond just ends up looking like playing to the dog, so he doesn't realize they don't like it.

This breaks my heart. I know my baby boy did this waiting on us to come home from work. A week ago today he passed away. I wished I had more time with him. He was so precious to me. I would have given everything I had if I could have had more time with him.

This made me cry because of the video and because someone took are schnauzer I was so sad when my mom told me because they weren't there at our house and I was at my dads house and when she told me I melted in tears she got taken away on Sunday June 16 2018 we've been trying to look for her but we couldn't find her by the way her name was Abby I think she still had her collar on but if she did they probably took it off and it had where we were living in case if somebody found her they would return her but of course they just wanted to keep her and it's sad how people just take the stuff you love she was like one of my sisters and like a
baby to me and it's sad because you just get use to them so they stick with you my mom says we might get a new dog but I don't want to get a new dog and it's sad because she was the only dog I had at my moms.

I got a 2nd Schnauzer for the 1st one & he was the solution to her separation anxiety. Unfortunately he passed away last year at 5 years old and my 1st Schnauzer is alone again. She's about to be 8 years old & I don't know if she wants another companion, let alone a puppy. I'm afraid a puppy would annoy her. But having 2 dogs was the best thing ever for me.
I have a Miniature Schnauzer as well and he is around the age as Chumpie. Its so sad to see what they do when they are alone. I feel so bad for leaving Louis (my schnauzer). :(

That's exactly how my schnauzer Blanche would look like everytime we would go out without her. So we decided to stud her and she has now 4 more dogs to play with. When they are many, they're very playful and noisy haha
